Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Acer Liquid Jade / Liquid Jade Plus / S55 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BAT-B10)
This is a 3.8V, 1950mAh lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Acer Liquid Jade, Liquid Jade Plus, and S55 smartphones. It replaces OEM part numbers BAT-B10, PGF295686HT, and KT.0010S.013. Capacity is 7.41Wh, matching the original cell specification.
- Liquid Jade, Jade Plus, and S55 compatibility: All three models share the same battery footprint, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — the S55 and Jade Plus use the identical voltage rail and charge IC as the original Liquid Jade, so one cell covers all three variants.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a Liquid Jade unit, confirming the BMS accepted the cell without error flags and that the charge IC reached full termination voltage without tripping overcurrent protection.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC build an accurate discharge curve against the new cell before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated coulomb counter.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Liquid Jade after a cell swap
A new cell has a steeper voltage curve at low state-of-charge than a worn original. When the modem fires a high-power transmission burst or the screen backlight peaks, the cell voltage briefly dips below the BMS cutoff threshold — even though the fuel gauge still reads 20–30%. The phone treats this as a hard undervoltage event and shuts down immediately. Run two full discharge-charge cycles without fast charging to let the fuel gauge IC map the real voltage curve of the new cell, and the shutdowns will stop.
Phone warm near the battery during the first few charges after replacement
A fresh lithium-polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a cell that has been cycled. The charge IC on the Liquid Jade pushes the same current rate it used on the broken-in original, and higher impedance converts more of that current to heat. This is normal for the first three to five charge cycles as impedance drops. If the phone stays noticeably warm beyond five cycles, check that the replacement cell dimensions — 86.58 x 55.70 x 3.50 mm — match and that the cell is seated flat with no pressure on the connector.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Acer Liquid Jade won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?
Probably not dead, but the BMS has locked out the cell after voltage dropped below 2.5V during storage. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs to trickle enough current into the cell to bring it above the BMS recovery threshold before the phone will boot. If the charging LED does not appear within 45 minutes, check the connector seating and try again; the target recovery voltage is 3.0V per cell.
The battery percentage on my Liquid Jade jumps around erratically — showing 60%, then suddenly 85%, then back to 55% within minutes.
This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against a discharge curve it has not yet learned. The coulomb counter was tuned to the old cell's characteristics, and the new cell's voltage-to-capacity relationship is different. Run one complete discharge — use the phone normally until it shuts off on its own — then charge to 100% without interruption and without fast charging. After that single full cycle the fuel gauge IC will have enough data to report stable percentages.
Fast charging has stopped working on my Liquid Jade since I put in the new battery — the phone only slow-charges now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the BMS on a new cell often does not immediately signal readiness for high-current charging to the charge IC. The Liquid Jade's charge controller defaults to a conservative constant-current rate until it confirms the cell is within the accepted voltage and temperature window. Complete one full slow charge to 100%, then let the phone discharge to around 20% naturally and charge again — fast charging typically re-engages on the second or third cycle once the charge IC has verified the new cell's response profile.
