Fits GE Druck DPI 611, DPI 612, and DPI 612 Flex pressure indicators; replaces OEM part CC3800GE.
3.7V 4000mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers 14.8Wh to sustain field measurements and calibration cycles without voltage sag.
Connector seats flush into the battery compartment with a single-tab locking mechanism; orientation marked on the case.
Bench testing confirmed BMS accepts load current during probe initialization without false cutoff; voltage holds steady under sustained sensor draw.
Before field deployment, run one full calibration cycle through the instrument menu — this allows the DPI 611 to map the new cell's voltage profile and prevents premature low-battery warnings during your first measurement session.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

GE Druck DPI 611 / DPI 612 Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (CC3800GE)

This is a 3.7V 4000mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the GE Druck DPI 611 and DPI 612 series portable pressure calibrators, including the DPI 612 Flex. It matches OEM part number CC3800GE and fits directly into the battery bay without modification. Capacity is 4000mAh (14.8Wh) — identical to the factory specification.

  • DPI 611, DPI 612, and DPI 612 Flex compatibility: All three instruments share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The 3.7V supply rail and communication lines are identical across the platform, so one battery covers all three variants.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through instrument power-on, pressure measurement, and USB data transfer simultaneously. The BMS held stable through the combined load spike at sensor initialisation and did not trip during sustained logging sessions.
  • Post-install calibration cycle: After fitting this battery, run a full calibration cycle through the DPI instrument menu before field deployment. The DPI 611 and 612 map battery state during calibration — skipping this step causes the instrument to report premature low-battery warnings on the first measurement session in the field.

DPI 611 BMS lockout after the pack sat unused in a carry case for months

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge slowly in storage. If the DPI 611 sits unused long enough, the cell voltage drops below the BMS protection threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell — and the BMS latches into a sleep state. At that point, the instrument will not power on and the charger shows no activity. The recovery step is to connect the charger and leave it for 20–40 minutes without expecting an immediate response. Once cell voltage climbs back above the BMS wake threshold (approximately 2.8–3.0V), the BMS exits sleep mode and normal charging resumes.

DPI 611 shutting down mid-measurement with the battery indicator still showing charge

This happens when the cell voltage sags under the sustained current draw of active pressure sensing combined with display backlight — even if the resting voltage looked fine before the session started. An aged or partially discharged cell can sit at an apparently healthy open-circuit voltage, then collapse under load when the sensor module pulls current. The instrument's under-voltage protection then cuts power before the display percentage reaches zero. Fit a fresh pack, run the calibration cycle through the instrument menu, and confirm the display holds a steady voltage reading during a live pressure measurement before returning the unit to service.

Frequently Asked Questions

The DPI 611 won't power on at all after a new battery is fitted — what's wrong?

The most likely cause is the BMS entering sleep mode during shipping or storage, which happens when cell voltage drops below the protection threshold. Connect the charger and leave it connected for at least 30 minutes before pressing the power button — the BMS needs time to recover voltage before it will allow discharge. If the instrument still won't respond after that, check that the battery connector is fully seated and the locking tab has clicked into place. Once the instrument powers on, run a calibration cycle through the menu before taking it into the field.

The DPI 612 Flex shuts down during USB data transfer to a PC even though the battery shows plenty of charge — is this a battery fault?

It is a load fault, not a display fault. USB data transfer adds a combined draw — active pressure sensor, backlight, and USB controller running simultaneously — that can push the instantaneous current past what a partially discharged or cold cell can sustain. The BMS trips on the voltage sag, not on the state-of-charge reading. Charge the pack to full before any transfer session and keep the instrument above 10°C, since Li-Polymer internal resistance rises sharply in cold conditions and makes the sag worse. If the shut-down persists on a fully charged, warm pack, the original cell has degraded and the replacement pack will resolve it.

Readings on the DPI 611 reset or jump erratically during a logging session — could the battery be causing this?

Yes. Voltage dropout under sustained sensor load can cause the instrument's processor to briefly lose stable supply, which registers as a measurement reset or data gap in the log. This is distinct from a full shutdown — the instrument stays on but the measurement resets mid-session. Check the logged data file for timestamps where the gap occurred and correlate with any high-draw event like backlight activation or sensor range switching. Fit a fresh pack, charge to full, and run the calibration cycle through the instrument menu so the DPI remaps battery state before the next logging session.
