Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Huawei Honor 4C / G Play Mini — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HB444199EBC+)
This is a 3.8V, 2550mAh (9.69Wh) lithium-polymer cell that fits the Huawei Honor 4C, G Play Mini, C8818, and CHM-UL00 handsets. It replaces OEM part HB444199EBC+ using the same connector and cell footprint. If your original battery swells, holds a fraction of its original charge, or causes unexpected shutdowns, this cell restores the phone to factory power capacity.
- Honor 4C / CHM-UL00 platform compatibility: These models share the same 3.8V battery bay, flex connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The HB444199EBC+ format covers all variants in this lineup without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Honor 4C platform. The BMS accepted charge current correctly, thermal reporting stayed within normal range, and the protection circuit tripped at the expected cutoff voltage under load.
- First cycle after installation: Disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging runs into an uncalibrated state.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Honor 4C after a cell swap
A new high-capacity cell has a different internal resistance profile than a degraded original. The phone's fuel gauge IC still holds the old discharge curve in memory, so the reported percentage no longer matches actual cell voltage. Under modem transmission or screen-on load, the new cell hits a voltage drop the IC wasn't expecting, and the device shuts off to protect the circuit. One full discharge-to-cutoff followed by a full charge resets the coulomb counter and stops the early shutdowns.
OS percentage jumping erratically in the first few days after replacement
The Honor 4C's fuel gauge IC calibrates against learned cell data accumulated from the original battery. After swapping cells, the IC has no accurate reference for the new cell's capacity curve, so percentage readings can jump — 60% to 45% to 52% within minutes. This is a recalibration issue, not a defective cell. Run two full discharge-charge cycles without interruption, and the coulomb counter builds a new baseline. After that, percentage reporting stabilises to within a few points of actual charge state.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Honor 4C won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is the cell dead?
The BMS locks out below approximately 2.5V per cell to prevent damage, and a cell stored uncharged for months will often drop into that lockout range. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 30–45 minutes before attempting to power on. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage climbs above the BMS recovery threshold, at which point the phone should respond. If the screen shows no charging indicator after an hour on a wall adapter, measure voltage at the battery terminals — a reading below 2.0V means the cell is unrecoverable.
Fast charging stopped working after I installed this battery — the phone only charges slowly now.
Huawei's proprietary fast charge protocol requires a handshake between the charger, the charge IC, and the BMS. On the first cycle with a new cell, the BMS sometimes rejects the higher current rate until it has completed one standard charge cycle and confirmed cell health. Use the original Huawei wall adapter — third-party chargers often fail the protocol negotiation entirely — and complete one full slow charge first. After that cycle, fast charging typically resumes; if it does not, check that the charge port pins are clean and undamaged from the battery swap.
The phone feels warm near the battery area while charging — is something wrong with the new cell?
A new lithium-polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a cell that has been through several hundred cycles. Higher impedance means more energy is lost as heat during the charge phase, especially in the first few cycles. This is normal and the warmth should reduce noticeably after three to five full charge cycles as impedance settles. If the phone becomes hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold, or the back panel starts to bulge, stop charging immediately and check that the battery connector is fully seated flat — a partially seated connector raises contact resistance and generates excess heat.
