Fits Hytera PD355, PD365, PD375, and PF355LF radios; replaces OEM battery BL2009.
3.7V at 1300mAh Li-Polymer delivers four-hour typical operational windows on standard duty cycles.
Connector seats vertically into radio slot with positive terminal forward; locking tab secures pack firmly.
We bench-tested the BMS on Hytera's standard charger dock; voltage acceptance threshold triggered clean handshake without fault codes.
If the charger dock shows a fault LED on first insertion, remove the battery, wipe the gold contact strip with a dry cloth, and reseat firmly—the Hytera platform requires a clean contact cycle to accept the new BMS handshake.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Hytera PD355 / PD365 Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BL2009)

This is a 3.7V, 1300mAh Li-Polymer replacement for the Hytera BL2009 battery pack. It fits the PD355, PD365, PD375, and PF355LF compact two-way radios. Voltage and capacity match the original spec so the radio's bar indicator and BMS behave as expected from first insertion.

  • PD355 / PD365 / PD375 platform fit: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, 3.7V supply rail, and BL2009 connector footprint. A single pack revision covers the full compact-body family without adapter hardware.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and PTT transmit loads on a PD355. The BMS held current within spec during sustained transmit bursts and did not trip the overcurrent threshold under normal keying patterns.
  • Contact strip seating on first dock insertion: If the charger shows a fault LED when this pack is first inserted, remove the battery and wipe the gold contact strip with a dry cloth before reseating. The PD355 dock requires a clean contact cycle to complete the BMS handshake before it will begin charging.

Why the PD355 cuts out mid-transmission on a new BL2009

A new Li-Polymer cell ships at storage voltage — typically around 3.6–3.7V — not at a full 4.2V charge. When the radio keys up, transmit current spikes sharply. At storage voltage, the BMS may read that spike as an undervoltage condition and briefly cut the output. The fix is simple: charge the pack fully before the first shift. Once the cell reaches 4.2V, the same transmit surge sits well inside the BMS operating window.

Bar indicator stuck on two bars after a full charge cycle

The PD355 reads battery level using voltage thresholds, not a fuel gauge chip. A new cell that has only completed one shallow charge cycle may not have reached the voltage the radio maps to a full-bar reading. Run two complete charge-discharge cycles through normal use. After the second full charge, the resting cell voltage should sit close to 4.1–4.2V and the bar indicator will display correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions

My PD355 drops to low transmit power partway through a shift — is the new BL2009 pack faulty?

This is voltage sag, not a faulty cell. Under sustained RF output across a long shift, cell voltage drops toward the radio's reduced-power threshold and the PD355 steps down TX output to protect the circuit. It is more common early in the pack's life before the cell has been fully formed. Run two full charge cycles and the resting voltage between transmissions will stay higher, reducing mid-shift sag.

The charger dock fault LED never clears after inserting the new pack — it just keeps blinking.

This usually means the cell arrived below the dock's acceptance voltage threshold. Some chargers reject packs below roughly 3.0V and will not begin a charge cycle. Remove the pack, leave it out for 30 seconds, then reseat it firmly so all three gold contacts are flush with the dock pins. If the fault LED persists, check the contact strip for debris and wipe it clean with a dry cloth before trying again.

After the radio sat unused for three weeks with the new battery installed, it won't power on at all.

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and a pack left in the radio while switched off can drop below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 2.5V. At that point the BMS locks out to prevent cell damage and the radio shows no response. Place the pack in the charger dock and leave it connected for at least 90 minutes without interruption; most BL2009-compatible chargers include a trickle pre-charge stage that brings the cell back above 3.0V before switching to a normal charge rate.
