Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo IdeaPad 1-11ADA05 / 1-14ADA05 — 7.5V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (L19M2PF0)
This is a 7.5V, 4500mAh (33.75Wh) Li-Polymer cell for the Lenovo IdeaPad 1-11ADA05 (82GV) and IdeaPad 1-14ADA05 (82GW) series notebooks. It replaces OEM part numbers L19M2PF0, 5B10W67171, SB10V25256, SB10V25257, and SB10W67317. It restores portable operation when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge.
- IdeaPad 1 11-inch and 14-inch compatibility: Both the 82GV and 82GW chassis share the same connector pinout, BMS handshake protocol, and 7.5V two-cell Li-Polymer architecture — one cell covers both screen sizes.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the IdeaPad 1 platform. The BMS communicated correctly with the EC, charge termination triggered at the expected voltage ceiling, and protection circuits tripped normally under over-discharge simulation.
- Post-install calibration step: After fitting this cell, run the laptop down to hibernate cutoff under normal use, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell
The IdeaPad 1 EC reads cycle count, full-charge capacity, and design capacity from EEPROM data embedded in the original cell. When a new cell goes in, the stored figures no longer match the live chemistry, so the BIOS flags health as degraded or unknown — not a fault with the replacement. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%. The BIOS recalculates full-charge capacity against the new cell and clears the warning. If the warning persists after two complete cycles, check the EC firmware version in Lenovo Vantage.
Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on the gauge
This happens when the fuel gauge IC still holds calibration data from the old, degraded cell. Under combined CPU and display load the new cell's actual voltage curve doesn't match the stored model, so the system hits a hard voltage floor and cuts power before the displayed percentage reaches zero. The fix is a calibration cycle: let the laptop discharge under load — streaming video or a browser-heavy task works — all the way to automatic hibernate, then charge to 100% without interruption. After two to three of these cycles the fuel gauge IC recalibrates to the new cell and the shutdowns stop. Target a resting voltage of 8.4V at full charge to confirm the cell seated correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions
The IdeaPad stops charging at 80% after I swapped the battery — is something wrong with the cell?
Nothing is wrong with the cell. Lenovo's BIOS includes a charge threshold feature, often enabled by default or via Lenovo Vantage, that caps charging at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress. This is firmware behaviour, not a battery fault. Open Lenovo Vantage, go to Power → Battery Settings, and set the charge threshold to 100% if you need full capacity.
Windows is showing the wrong Wh rating for the battery — it says something different from 33.75Wh in Device Manager.
The Wh figure Windows displays is pulled from the EEPROM on the original cell, not measured live from the new one. The embedded controller reads the stored design capacity and reports it until a full calibration cycle is complete. Run the laptop to hibernate on battery, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After one or two full cycles the EC updates its stored data and Windows will report the correct 33.75Wh figure.
The battery percentage jumps around wildly — drops 15% in a few minutes, then sits at one number for an hour.
The fuel gauge IC in the IdeaPad 1 uses a stored charge model built up from previous cycle history. With a new cell installed, that model is mismatched to the fresh chemistry, so capacity estimates swing unpredictably. This settles after two to three full discharge-and-charge cycles. Each complete cycle gives the fuel gauge IC new data points to recalibrate against — by the third cycle the percentage should track steadily. If it doesn't settle, check that the replacement cell voltage reads 8.4V at full charge using a multimeter on the battery terminals.
