Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

JSLBtech Video Baby Monitor — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (AHB653860)
This 3.7V, 2000mAh lithium-polymer battery replaces the AHB653860 cell in JSLBtech Video Baby Monitor parent units. It restores power to the parent unit when the original cell has degraded or failed. Dimensions are 63.10 × 39.70 × 6.60mm — measure your existing cell before fitting.
- JSLBtech Video Baby Monitor parent unit fit: The parent unit runs a 3.7V single-cell Li-Polymer pack with a compact flat profile to fit the slim housing. This cell matches that voltage rail and physical footprint, so the BMS can read charge state correctly after installation.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench. The protection circuit engaged at both low-voltage cutoff and overcharge threshold, and capacity read within expected range at 2000mAh.
- Post-swap wireless re-pair: Baby monitor parent units lose their stored camera pairing when the battery drops to zero. After fitting this battery, hold the pair button on both the parent unit and camera module until the link indicator confirms connection — skipping this step leaves the screen active but showing no feed.
Parent unit not connecting to camera unit after battery swap
When a Li-Polymer cell in a baby monitor parent unit fully discharges, the unit loses all stored settings — including the wireless pairing data for the camera. Swapping the battery does not automatically restore that link. The camera and parent unit need to re-establish their encrypted channel from scratch. Hold the pair button on the camera module first, then hold the pair button on the parent unit until both units confirm the connection with a steady indicator light or on-screen prompt.
Night vision stops working immediately after battery replacement
The IR LEDs in the camera unit draw power from the camera's own supply, but the parent unit's display brightness and IR reception both depend on sufficient voltage at the 3.7V rail. If night vision appears dead after a battery swap, the new cell is likely still at a low resting voltage from storage. Charge the parent unit to full before testing night mode — IR illumination requires the cell to be above approximately 3.6V to sustain the display and radio simultaneously. If night vision still fails after a full charge, the fault is in the camera unit, not the battery.

Frequently Asked Questions
My JSLBtech baby monitor parent unit battery drains completely overnight even with a new cell — what's causing that?
The parent unit screen running continuously through the night is the most common cause. With the backlight active and the radio link open, a 2000mAh cell sustains that draw for a limited stretch before it hits low-voltage cutoff. Go into the parent unit menu and enable the screen timeout or VOX (voice-activated) mode — this cuts the display between sound events and significantly reduces overnight draw without disabling monitoring.
The range on my JSLBtech parent unit seems much shorter after fitting a replacement battery — is the battery the problem?
Radio transmission power in baby monitor parent units is voltage-sensitive. A new Li-Polymer cell shipped from storage sits at a reduced resting voltage, and the radio draws more current than most other functions. At low state of charge, the transmitter runs below its rated power, which shortens effective range. Charge the parent unit fully to 4.2V before testing range — most users find the signal returns to normal after the first complete charge cycle.
The JSLBtech parent unit shows a charging indicator but the battery percentage never goes up — what should I check?
This is almost always a connector or contact issue rather than a faulty cell. Lint and debris collect in the charging port and prevent full contact with the charger pins, so the indicator light triggers but current transfer is too low to raise the cell voltage. Clean the port with a dry toothpick, reconnect the charger, and check that the cable is seated firmly. If the percentage still does not climb after 30 minutes, test with a different charging cable — the original cables on these units are a common failure point.
