Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lionelo Babyline 5.1 (2 Wires Version) — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery
This 3.7V 750mAh lithium-polymer battery fits the Lionelo Babyline 5.1 baby monitor in the 2-wires configuration. It powers the parent unit, restoring the monitor's ability to operate away from the mains socket. Capacity matches the original specification at 750mAh (2.78Wh).
- Babyline 5.1 (2 wires) compatibility: The 2-wires version uses a specific connector orientation and cell footprint — 37.20 × 32.70 × 5.20mm — that differs from other Babyline variants. Fitting the wrong version can stress the connector or leave the cell loose inside the housing.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the Babyline 5.1 parent unit. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and the unit held a stable 3.7V rail throughout screen-on operation and wireless transmission.
- Wireless re-pair after swap: The Babyline 5.1 parent unit loses its stored camera link when the battery is fully disconnected. After fitting this battery, power the parent unit on and follow the pairing sequence in the manual before expecting live video or audio feed from the camera unit.
Parent unit battery draining overnight during monitoring
Running the Babyline 5.1 parent unit with the screen on through the night is a sustained draw that a degraded original cell handles poorly. A fresh 750mAh cell provides the full rated capacity, but screen-on mode with backlight and active wireless reception still pulls the cell down by morning. Enable the screen timeout function in the monitor settings — the audio channel stays active while the display sleeps, cutting draw significantly. This single change is the most effective way to extend time between charges on any 750mAh cell in this unit.
Night vision not working after fitting a new battery
The IR LEDs on the Babyline 5.1 camera unit are powered by the camera's own supply, but the parent unit's receiver needs a stable voltage to process the IR image correctly. If night vision appears black or grainy immediately after a battery swap, the parent unit cell likely hasn't reached a full charge yet. Charge the parent unit to 100% before running a night vision check — the display-side processing threshold sits close to 3.6V. A full charge cycle resolves this in almost every case.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Babyline 5.1 parent unit won't connect to the camera after I replaced the battery — what's wrong?
Disconnecting the battery wipes the parent unit's stored pairing data. This is normal behaviour — the unit needs to re-establish its wireless link with the camera unit from scratch. Power both units on, then run the pairing sequence described in the Babyline 5.1 manual (typically a button hold on the camera unit followed by confirmation on the parent unit). Once paired, the link saves until the battery is disconnected again.
The monitor's range seems much shorter than it used to be — could the new battery be the cause?
Yes, a partially charged cell can cause this. The Babyline 5.1's radio transmitter in the parent unit is voltage-sensitive — at low state of charge, transmit power drops and walls or floors that were previously transparent to the signal become barriers. Charge the parent unit fully before testing range. If range is still reduced after a full charge, check that the camera unit is positioned without a metal object directly between it and the parent unit.
The parent unit shows charging but the battery percentage barely moves — is the new cell faulty?
Li-polymer cells in small monitors like the Babyline 5.1 charge slowly by design — the charge current is kept low to protect a compact 750mAh cell. A full charge from near-flat typically takes longer than most users expect. Leave it connected for at least three hours on the supplied cable before judging progress. If the percentage still hasn't moved past 20% after three hours, check the charging cable and port for debris or a bent pin, as the Babyline 5.1's micro-USB port is a common failure point separate from the battery itself.
