Fits Zebra CS3300 and CS3070 scanners, replacing OEM part 82-133770-01.
3.7V lithium-ion at 700mAh delivers enough capacity for a full warehouse shift without midday cradle time.
Connector seats flat into the scanner battery slot with a single locking tab — confirm tab engagement before closing door.
We bench-tested this cell in a CS3300 cradle; BMS accepted the charge handshake on first insertion and held stable voltage under scan-burst load.
After installing, place the scanner in its cradle for a full charge cycle before pick-and-pack work — the scan trigger draws peak inrush current when the cell runs near minimum state, and a pre-charged pack prevents false BMS shutdowns on first shift.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Zebra CS3300 / CS3070 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (82-133770-01)

This is a 3.7V, 700mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Zebra CS3300 and CS3070 handheld barcode scanners. It matches OEM part number 82-133770-01 and slots directly into both scanner models. Capacity is rated at 2.59Wh, consistent with the original specification.

  • CS3300 and CS3070 shared platform: Both scanners run the same 3.7V battery rail with an identical connector footprint and BMS handshake protocol. One replacement cell covers both models without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the CS3300 platform. The BMS accepted the pack cleanly, voltage held stable across simulated scan-trigger bursts, and the cradle reported a normal charge state throughout.
  • First-shift charge protocol for CS3300 and CS3070: After installing, seat the scanner in its cradle for a full charge cycle before starting pick-and-pack work. Scan trigger inrush current peaks when the cell is near minimum charge — a pre-charged cell stops the BMS from tripping on the first heavy scanning burst of the shift.

Cradle showing a charging error on a freshly installed pack

A charging error on the cradle display after fitting a new battery almost always points to contact resistance at the dock pins, not a fault with the cell itself. The CS3300 cradle uses spring-loaded gold contacts that oxidise over time. Oxidation raises resistance enough that the dock misreads the pack's charge state and throws an error. Wipe the battery contacts and the cradle pins with a dry lint-free cloth, reseat the scanner firmly, and the error typically clears within one charge cycle.

Scanner losing wireless connection during a rapid scan burst

During fast back-to-back scanning, the CS3300 draws simultaneously from its wireless radio and its imager — two high-draw loads hitting the cell at the same time. If the battery voltage sags below the radio's minimum threshold, the wireless link drops mid-session even though the scanner still appears powered on. This is more common late in a shift when cell voltage is already trending down. Starting the shift with a fully charged pack keeps voltage above the 3.4V floor that the radio module needs to hold its connection.

Frequently Asked Questions

My CS3300 scanner isn't reading barcodes after I swapped the battery — the trigger fires but nothing scans. What's wrong?

The imager needs a minimum voltage to fire correctly, and a new cell shipped in storage may be partially discharged. Below roughly 3.3V, the CS3300's imager loses enough power to fail reads even though the unit appears on. Place the scanner in the cradle for a full charge cycle before use — we confirmed on the bench that scan performance restores once the cell reaches a full charge state.

The CS3300 feels noticeably warm after a long shift — is that a battery fault?

Sustained scanning combined with continuous wireless polling generates heat inside the CS3300's compact housing, and most of it passes through the battery compartment. A warm pack at end-of-shift is normal under those conditions. If the housing is hot to the touch and the scanner shuts off mid-shift, that points to thermal cutoff triggering — reduce continuous scan frequency or allow a short rest between heavy bursts to let the housing temperature drop before resuming.

The new battery drains faster than expected compared to the old one — could the pack be faulty?

A new cell occasionally ships with shallow charge and needs two or three full charge-discharge cycles before it reaches rated capacity. Run the scanner through two complete cycles — full charge in the cradle, then normal scanning use until the low-battery alert triggers, then full charge again. If capacity is still noticeably short after three cycles, check wireless polling frequency in the scanner settings — aggressive Bluetooth polling cuts shift endurance significantly beyond what scan volume alone would cause.
