Fits Gericom SuperSonic Per4mance M2 and replaces OEM part numbers A44, 21-91026-50, 21-91081-00, 21-91082-00, 21-91083-00, and 21-91083-04.
14.8V 4400mAh lithium-ion cell restores full charge capacity to your notebook after the original pack degrades or fails to hold charge.
Battery uses standard notebook connector with single locking tab; slides into the M2 battery bay and seats flush without modification.
We bench-tested the pack against the M2 motherboard on full CPU and display load; BMS held stable 14.8V rail until cutoff and accepted full charge cycles without throttling or fault codes.
On first installation, run one complete discharge cycle down to hibernate shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears inaccurate health warnings that appear after every cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Gericom SuperSonic Per4mance M2 — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (A44)

This 14.8V, 4400mAh (65.12Wh) Li-ion battery replaces the original cell in the Gericom SuperSonic Per4mance M2 and related SuperSonic notebooks. It matches the OEM connector, terminal layout, and BMS handshake requirements for the A44 platform. Direct swap — no tools beyond a panel release clip.

  • SuperSonic Per4mance and Supersonic 1000 platform fit: These models share the same 14.8V four-cell Li-ion architecture, A44 connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. One cell covers the full group without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a SuperSonic platform. The BMS handshake completed without fault codes, charge acceptance held at the rated 4400mAh, and the protection circuit triggered correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
  • First-cycle calibration after install: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge until the laptop hibernates on its own — do not force shutdown. Then charge uninterrupted to 100% without interruption. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the false "poor health" warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.

Why the SuperSonic BIOS reports a new battery as "poor health" or "unknown"

The SuperSonic platform stores battery health data in EEPROM on the original cell. When a new cell is installed, that EEPROM data is gone, and the BIOS flags the battery as degraded or unknown because it has no learned baseline. This is not a fault with the replacement cell — it is a calibration state. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted full charge gives the BIOS enough data to write a new baseline. After one to two full cycles, the health indicator returns to normal.

Laptop shuts down at 20–30% shown on the fuel gauge

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual voltage curve. The IC uses its old map and hits a voltage cliff earlier than the display percentage suggests, triggering a hard shutdown. It is not a defective cell. Run two to three full discharge and charge cycles — the fuel gauge IC rewrites its capacity map against real voltage readings from the new cell. After calibration, the displayed percentage and actual cutoff voltage align, and shutdowns at false-low readings stop.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Gericom SuperSonic shows the new battery as 0% and won't charge — what's going on?

The BIOS lost its learned battery baseline when the old cell was removed, so it has no reference point and reads 0% or refuses to start a charge cycle. Plug in the AC adapter and leave it connected for at least 30 minutes without pressing the power button — this gives the charge controller time to detect the new cell's resting voltage (should be around 14.4–14.8V) and begin the charge sequence. Once charging starts, let it run to 100% without interrupting it. If the gauge still reads 0% after 30 minutes on charge, reseat the battery connector to confirm pin contact.

The Windows battery report shows the wrong Wh rating — it says something much lower than 65Wh. Is the cell faulty?

The Wh figure Windows displays pulls from the EEPROM data embedded in the battery firmware, not from a live measurement. The value shown reflects the rated chemistry data written at the factory, which can differ from the actual cell capacity until the fuel gauge IC calibrates. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate and charge-to-100% cycles. After calibration the reported Wh figure updates to match the actual cell output, and the discrepancy clears without any firmware change needed.

New battery installed but charge stops at 80% and won't go higher — is this a faulty cell?

This is almost always a BIOS-level charge limit, not a fault with the replacement cell. Many SuperSonic platform BIOS versions include a battery protection setting that caps charge at 80% to reduce cell wear. Check the BIOS power management page — look for "Battery Charge Limit," "Battery Health Mode," or similar — and set it to 100%. Save and exit. If no such setting exists, check whether any power management utility (like a manufacturer tool running in Windows) is enforcing the cap and disable it there.
