Fits HP Mini 110, Mini 110-1036NR, and all XP variants via OEM part number 530973-741 or HSTNN-CB0D.
11.1V at 4400mAh delivers the original capacity spec for full CPU and display runtime on this ultraportable.
Connector slides into the battery slot at the base with a single locking tab — no tools needed.
We bench-tested this cell against a failed original; the BMS accepted charge, voltage held steady under sustained load, and fuel gauge tracked accurately after two full cycles.
After installation, run one complete discharge to shutdown then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears false health warnings that appear after every cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

HP Mini 110 Series — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (530973-741)

This is a 11.1V, 4400mAh (48.84Wh) Li-ion battery for the HP Mini 110 netbook line. It fits the Mini 110, Mini 110 Mi, Mini 110 XP, Mini 110-1036NR, and over 35 additional Mini 110 variants. OEM cross-references include HSTNN-CB0D, HSTNN-LB0C, NY220AA, NY221AA, and 537626-001.

  • Mini 110 platform compatibility: All Mini 110 variants share the same 11.1V three-cell battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. That common architecture is why one cell covers the full range — the BIOS reads the same EEPROM data structure regardless of which Mini 110 sub-model you're running.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on a Mini 110 unit. The BMS communicated correctly with the BIOS, charge acceptance reached 100%, and the fuel gauge IC tracked state-of-charge accurately after two calibration cycles.
  • Post-install calibration tip for the Mini 110: After installing, run one full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. The Mini 110 BIOS uses a battery learn cycle to recalibrate its fuel gauge IC against the new cell — skipping this step leaves the health indicator showing a false warning for every session.

Why the Mini 110 BIOS flags a new battery as poor health on first boot

The Mini 110 BIOS reads battery health from EEPROM data stored on the cell's protection circuit board. A fresh replacement cell ships with factory EEPROM values that don't match the charge history the BIOS expects to see from a known-good pack. The system interprets that mismatch as a degraded or unknown battery and raises a health warning. One complete discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% rewrites the learn cycle data and clears the flag.

Mini 110 shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on the gauge

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity fault. Under combined CPU and display load, cell voltage can drop sharply at around 20–30% state-of-charge — faster than the fuel gauge IC can update its reading. The BIOS sees the voltage fall below the low-voltage cutoff threshold and forces an immediate shutdown before the gauge catches up. Run two full calibration cycles so the fuel gauge IC maps the new cell's actual discharge curve — after that, the gauge and the true cutoff point align and shutdowns stop occurring prematurely.

Frequently Asked Questions

The HP Mini 110 BIOS is showing the replacement battery as "unknown" or 0% — is the cell faulty?

The cell is not faulty. The Mini 110 BIOS reads EEPROM charge-history data from the battery's protection circuit, and a new cell ships without that history, so the system reports it as unknown. Run one full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% to complete the BIOS battery learn cycle. After that cycle, the BIOS re-reads the EEPROM and clears the unknown status.

The fuel gauge on my Mini 110 is jumping around wildly — showing 80%, then 45%, then back to 70% within minutes.

The fuel gauge IC inside the Mini 110 builds its state-of-charge model against charge and discharge data from the previous cell. With a new cell installed, that model is uncalibrated and produces erratic readings. We saw the same behaviour on the bench during the first two cycles. Run two complete discharge-to-hibernate and full-charge cycles back-to-back — the IC recalibrates against the new cell's actual chemistry and the gauge stabilises.

System info on my Mini 110 is reporting the wrong Wh rating — it shows a different number than 48.84Wh.

The Wh figure shown in Windows or HP Support Assistant pulls from the EEPROM's rated-capacity field, which reflects the original OEM cell's programmed value rather than the replacement cell's measured capacity. This is an EEPROM data difference, not a defect — the actual delivered energy matches the 48.84Wh spec. Complete the BIOS battery learn cycle (full discharge to hibernate, then uninterrupted charge to 100%) and the reported value will update to reflect the new cell.
