Charge stops climbing at exactly 80% and stays there — is there a fault with the replacement cell?
This is almost always a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a cell fault. Many Medion notebook models ship with a battery conservation mode enabled by default that caps charge at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress. Check the Medion power management utility or BIOS under "Battery Care" or "Battery Charge Limit" and set it to 100%. Once disabled, the cell will charge to its full 14.8V endpoint voltage.
