Fits Samsung NX1 mirrorless camera; replaces OEM part ED-BP1900.
7.2V lithium-ion delivers 1600mAh capacity for full-day shooting without mid-session swaps.
Connector matches OEM housing; slides into camera battery compartment with positive terminal forward.
Tested on NX1 body; BMS accepted cell on first insertion without authentication errors.
On first use, run one full charge cycle inside the camera body before heavy shooting — Samsung's battery-remaining firmware requires this handshake to map discharge curve correctly.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung NX1 — 7.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (ED-BP1900)

This is a 7.2V, 1600mAh Li-ion replacement for the Samsung ED-BP1900 battery. It fits the NX1 mirrorless camera body, including EV-NX1ZZZBMBUS, EV-NX1ZZZBQBUS, and EV-NX1ZZZBZBUS variants. Cell dimensions match the OEM unit at 55.00 × 39.40 × 21.00 mm, so it seats and latches correctly in the battery compartment.

  • NX1 platform fit: All three EV-NX1 SKUs share the same battery bay geometry, contact pinout, and BMS communication protocol — one cell covers the full NX1 lineup without any physical or electrical mismatch.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the NX1 body and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell, reported charge state, and applied standard cutoff at low voltage without fault codes.
  • First-cycle initialisation on the NX1: Run the first charge through the NX1 body or OEM charger, not a generic third-party charger. The NX1 BMS maps its battery-remaining display to the cell's discharge curve — one full charge cycle from the camera body locks in accurate percentage readings for subsequent use.

Why the NX1 battery percentage jumps erratically mid-shoot

The NX1 tracks remaining charge using voltage-threshold mapping rather than a coulomb counter. A new cell has a slightly different discharge curve than the aged OEM unit the camera calibrated against. Until the camera has seen at least one full discharge-to-cutoff cycle on the new cell, the percentage readout can jump — dropping suddenly then recovering. Run one full cycle from 100% to camera-off cutoff, then recharge fully. After that cycle, the threshold map resets and the display stabilises.

Shot count lower than expected with 4K video or continuous AF

Samsung's rated shot count for the NX1 is based on CIPA test conditions — still shooting, minimal EVF use, and no continuous autofocus. Switching to 4K video recording stacks sensor readout, image processor load, and in-body stabilisation draw simultaneously on the same 1600mAh cell. Continuous phase-detect AF during burst shooting adds further sustained current draw. If shot count is short of expectation, confirm you are comparing against video or burst figures, not the CIPA still-shooting number — the gap between the two on the NX1 is significant.

Frequently Asked Questions

My NX1 shows a dead battery icon immediately after inserting a fully charged replacement — is the cell faulty?

Almost always no. The NX1 BMS does not automatically trust a new cell's reported state on first insert. Place the battery in the NX1 body or OEM charger and run a full charge cycle from the camera side. After one complete charge, re-insert and power on — the camera should read the cell correctly and clear the fault indicator.

The battery percentage on my NX1 drops from 80% to 20% in seconds, then climbs back — what's happening?

The NX1 maps its percentage display to voltage thresholds calibrated against the original OEM cell's discharge curve. A fresh replacement cell discharges slightly differently, causing the voltage to cross threshold points out of sequence. Run the new cell through one full discharge-to-camera-cutoff cycle, then charge fully. The camera resets its threshold map after that cycle and the readout stabilises — check the indicator reads above 7.4V at full charge to confirm the cell seated correctly.

My NX1 body gets noticeably warm during extended video recording — is the battery overheating?

The warmth is primarily from the sensor, image processor, and stabilisation system drawing sustained current simultaneously — not the cell itself. At 7.2V, sustained 4K recording pulls significantly more current than still shooting, and the NX1 body concentrates that heat around the grip where the battery sits. If the body shuts down rather than just warming up, check that the battery contacts are clean and that the cell voltage at full charge reads 8.4V — a cell unable to hold that voltage under load will trigger a thermal protection cutoff in the BMS before the camera's own thermal limit.
