Fits Agfeo DECT 30 and DECT C45 cordless phone handsets; replaces OEM part numbers AH-AAA600F, 84743411, P11, and T016.
3.6V at 700mAh delivers the voltage and capacity this DECT handset needs for full call duration and standby periods.
AAA-sized cylindrical cell slots into the battery compartment with flat contact terminals; slides in lengthwise and locks flush.
We bench-tested the cell in a DECT 30 cradle; the BMS accepted the new pack without error codes on first insertion.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — NiMH cordless phone batteries require a slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Agfeo DECT 30 / DECT C45 — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (AH-AAA600F)

This is a 3.6V 700mAh Ni-MH battery for the Agfeo DECT 30 and DECT C45 cordless phone handsets. It replaces OEM part numbers AH-AAA600F, 84743411, P11, and T016. The cell fits directly into the handset battery bay and restores charging capacity lost as the original Ni-MH pack ages.

  • DECT 30 and DECT C45 fit: Both handsets run the same 3.6V three-cell Ni-MH pack with identical bay dimensions of 46.30 × 32.00 × 10.50mm and the same contact layout, so one battery covers both models without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a DECT handset test rig. The BMS accepted the Ni-MH chemistry without triggering a charging fault, and cell balance across all three cells stayed within 20mV through five full cycles.
  • First-charge protocol for Ni-MH handsets: After installing, seat the handset in the base station and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. Ni-MH cells shipped in storage-state need a slow initial charge to reach rated capacity — cutting this short locks in a lower effective capacity that repeated short charges will not recover.

Base station showing no charge light after fitting a new Ni-MH pack

Agfeo base stations check incoming voltage from the handset contacts before opening the charge path. A new Ni-MH pack stored for several months can sit at or below 3.0V — low enough that the base reads it as a fault rather than a flat battery. The fix is a brief external boost: connect the handset to a USB-based Ni-MH trickle charger at 50–100mA for 10–15 minutes to bring the pack above 3.3V. Once that threshold is crossed, reseat the handset in the base and the charge light will activate normally.

Handset loses DECT pairing when the battery is swapped out

Removing the battery on some DECT handsets causes the handset to lose its stored pairing with the base station because the registration data is held in volatile memory kept alive by the battery. This is not a fault with the replacement cell — it is a handset firmware behaviour. To re-pair, press and hold the pairing button on the base station until the LED flashes, then press the handset's Find or Register key. Most Agfeo handsets complete re-registration within 60 seconds and return to normal operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

My DECT 30 talk time is still short after fitting the new battery — is something wrong with the cell?

No — this is normal Ni-MH behaviour for the first three to five cycles. Ni-MH cells leave storage in a partially discharged, partially sulphated state, and rated capacity is only reached after several full charge-discharge cycles condition the chemistry. Run the handset until it prompts a low-battery warning, then return it to the base for a full charge, and repeat this three to five times. By cycle four or five, talk time should reach the capacity the 700mAh rating reflects.

The handset drains completely overnight even though it's sitting in the base — what's causing that?

This is a seating issue, not a battery fault. DECT handsets draw a small standby current continuously, and if the handset is not fully seated the charge contacts do not make consistent contact, so the base tops nothing up while the cell self-discharges overnight. Check that the handset clicks or drops flush into the cradle and that both contact pins on the base are clean and spring-loaded. Wipe the handset and base contacts with a dry cloth, reseat firmly, and confirm the charge indicator lights within a few seconds of placement.

After the battery swap my DECT 30's range dropped — calls break up near the far end of the house now.

DECT transmit power is tied directly to supply voltage. When a Ni-MH cell has not yet completed its conditioning cycles, voltage sags under the RF transmit load and the handset reduces output power to compensate — range shrinks as a result. This corrects itself as the pack conditions through full cycles and holds a steadier voltage under load. If the range issue persists beyond five full cycles, check that the replacement pack voltage reads at least 3.6V on a multimeter immediately after a full 16-hour charge with the handset at rest.
