Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

GP 70AAAH2BMJZR / 60AAAH2BMJZR / 75AAAH2BMJZR — 2.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery
This GP Ni-MH battery pack delivers 2.4V at 700mAh for cordless DECT phone handsets. It replaces OEM packs 70AAAH2BMJZR, 60AAAH2BMJZR, and 75AAAH2BMJZR — three part numbers GP used across different production runs of the same cell configuration. If your handset used any of those original packs, this fits.
- Three OEM part numbers, one pack: GP issued 70AAAH2BMJZR, 60AAAH2BMJZR, and 75AAAH2BMJZR across different handset batches. The voltage rail, cell arrangement, and connector are identical across all three — only the part number changed as GP revised their packaging.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a 2.4V Ni-MH handset platform. The BMS accepted the cells without error, and voltage held steady through the full discharge curve without sagging early.
- First-charge protocol for Ni-MH handsets: After installing, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. Ni-MH cells shipped in partial charge need a slow, uninterrupted first charge to reach rated capacity — skipping this step is the single biggest reason for short talk time on new replacements.
Base station showing no charge or error light after fitting new cells
Ni-MH packs sit at low voltage during storage — sometimes below the threshold the base charger expects before it begins a charge cycle. The base reads this as a fault rather than a flat battery. Place the handset in the base anyway and leave it undisturbed. Most DECT base stations will recover and begin trickle-charging within 30 minutes once the pack voltage climbs above approximately 2.0V.
Range drops noticeably after replacing the battery pack
DECT handsets draw a sharp current spike during RF transmission. If the Ni-MH pack hasn't completed several full conditioning cycles, internal resistance is still elevated and voltage sags under that transmit load. The radio interprets the sag as low battery and reduces output power, cutting range. Run three to five full charge-and-use cycles and the internal resistance will fall — range returns to normal as capacity stabilises.

Frequently Asked Questions
My handset is pairing fine but talk time is still short after three days — is the battery faulty?
Ni-MH cells need three to five full charge-and-discharge cycles before they reach rated capacity — this is normal cell conditioning, not a fault. If you've been topping up from the base throughout the day, the pack hasn't completed a full cycle. Let the handset run until it beeps for low battery, then return it to the base for a full uninterrupted charge. Repeat that process five times and talk time will stabilise at the rated level.
The handset lost its pairing with the base right after I swapped the battery — how do I get it back?
Some DECT phones store pairing data in volatile memory that clears when power is fully removed. Fitting a new flat battery effectively triggers a hard reset of the handset's link to the base. To re-pair, press and hold the registration button on the base station — usually labelled "Page" or "Find" — then follow the handset pairing sequence in your phone's manual. The process takes under two minutes and the handset will behave normally once paired.
The battery drains overnight even though the handset is sitting in the base — what's causing that?
The base charges through metal contacts on the handset's underside. If those contacts are dirty or the handset isn't fully seated, the base stops delivering charge while the handset continues drawing standby current. Clean the charge contacts on both the handset and the base cradle with a dry cloth, then press the handset firmly into the base until it clicks or sits flush. Check the charge indicator light confirms active charging — if it does, the drain will stop overnight.
