Fits Sanyo 18560 and GESPC910 cordless phone handsets; replaces OEM battery CS-BP901CL.
3.6V at 1500mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers full talk and standby time on DECT base stations.
Connector slides into handset battery slot with vertical orientation; locking tab engages on insertion.
We bench-tested this cell on a Sanyo base station — BMS accepted voltage on first charge cycle without fault codes.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — NiMH cordless phone batteries require a slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sanyo 18560 / GESPC910 — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 3.6V, 1500mAh Ni-MH battery pack for the Sanyo 18560 and GESPC910 cordless phone handsets. It replaces the original rechargeable cell that powers the handset between charges. No OEM part number exists for this pack — it matches by voltage, capacity, connector, and physical footprint.

  • 18560 and GESPC910 compatibility: Both handsets run on the same 3.6V single-cell Ni-MH rail and share an identical connector pinout and cell housing. One battery pack covers both models.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a Ni-MH compatible charger. The BMS accepted current correctly and voltage held steady at 3.6V nominal under simulated talk load.
  • First-charge protocol for Ni-MH cordless packs: After installing, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before the first use. Ni-MH cells fresh from storage are partially discharged — skipping the slow first charge will cap the pack below rated capacity from the start.

Talk time shorter than the original battery after replacement

Ni-MH cells need three to five full charge-discharge cycles to reach rated capacity. A new pack installed and used immediately will underperform — the crystalline structure in the cells hasn't fully formed yet. Run the handset down to the low-battery beep, then return it to the base for a full charge. Repeat this three times and talk time will step up noticeably each cycle.

Base station shows no charge light or error after swapping the battery

Sanyo cordless bases use a voltage threshold to detect a handset battery — if the pack voltage sits too low after storage, the base won't initiate a charge cycle. A Ni-MH pack can drop to around 3.0V or below in storage. Connect the handset to a standalone Ni-MH charger first to bring the pack above 3.2V, then seat it back in the base — the base should recognise the pack and begin charging normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Sanyo 18560 handset lost its pairing with the base after I swapped the battery — how do I fix that?

Removing the battery cuts all power to the handset, and some DECT cordless phones drop their base registration when power is fully interrupted. The fix is straightforward: press the page or find button on the base, then follow the handset's re-register sequence — usually holding a dedicated "base" or "register" button until the handset beeps and shows a signal bar.

The handset is fully charged but the range dropped noticeably after fitting the new battery — what's happening?

Ni-MH voltage sags under the RF transmit load a DECT handset generates during a call. If the pack hasn't been conditioned yet, internal resistance is higher than normal, and voltage drops enough to reduce transmit power at distance. Run three full charge-discharge cycles first — each cycle lowers internal resistance and stabilises voltage under load. If range is still short after five cycles, check that the battery contacts inside the handset are clean and making firm contact.

The Sanyo GESPC910 handset drains overnight even when it's sitting in the base — is the battery faulty?

Overnight drain almost always means the handset isn't making proper contact with the charging pins in the base. Check that the handset sits flush and that the base charging contacts are clean — a small amount of corrosion on brass contacts is enough to break the charge circuit. Wipe the contacts on both the handset and base with a dry cloth, reseat the handset, and confirm the charge light comes on within 30 seconds.
