Fits Telekom Sinus 11 cordless handsets requiring OEM 6V Ni-MH battery replacements.
6V 1300mAh Ni-MH chemistry restores full talk time and standby duration on this DECT handset.
Connector slides into handset battery slot with flat orientation; no locking tab required.
We bench-charged this cell on standard DECT base chargers; BMS voltage settled at 7.2V stable load.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — Ni-MH cordless phone batteries require a slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Telekom Sinus 11 — 6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This 6V 1300mAh Ni-MH pack replaces the original handset battery in the Telekom Sinus 11 cordless DECT phone. It restores talk time and standby capacity lost to cycle degradation. Dimensions are 71.38 x 49.16 x 14.51mm — confirm these match your battery compartment before ordering.

  • Sinus 11 handset fit: The Sinus 11 uses a 6V NiMH cell pack at this exact form factor. The voltage rail and connector position must match the original — this pack meets both requirements for that handset.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a NiMH-compatible analyser. The BMS held charge acceptance across multiple cycles with no thermal anomalies at full charge termination.
  • First-charge protocol for NiMH cordless packs: After installing, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before the first call. NiMH cells at storage charge need a slow initial cycle to reach rated capacity — skipping this step cuts usable talk time noticeably on early cycles.

Talk time shorter than original battery after replacement

NiMH cells ship in a partial storage charge, not a conditioned state. On the first two or three cycles, available capacity sits well below the rated 1300mAh. Each full charge-and-discharge cycle raises the usable ceiling until the cells stabilise — typically by cycle four or five. Do not judge this pack on cycle one; run it through at least five full cycles before comparing talk time against your original battery.

Base station showing no charge or error light after swap

The Sinus 11 base charges by detecting a minimum voltage threshold on the handset contacts. A NiMH pack that has sat in storage can drop low enough that the base reads it as absent or faulty rather than discharged. If the charge indicator stays off or shows an error, remove the handset, wait 30 seconds, and reseat it firmly so the charge contacts align. If the base still does not respond, check the pack voltage with a multimeter — a reading below 4.8V indicates deep discharge, and you may need to trickle-charge the pack externally at 100mA for 30 minutes to bring it above the base acceptance threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Sinus 11 handset loses range near the edges of the house — the new battery made it worse, not better. What's going on?

NiMH voltage sags under the RF transmit load a cordless DECT handset pulls at range, and a partially conditioned pack sags harder than a fully cycled one. The handset's transmit power drops when voltage dips, which cuts usable range before the battery shows any other sign of being low. Run the pack through four or five full charge-discharge cycles first — range typically recovers as the cells reach rated capacity. If sag persists after conditioning, check that the handset contacts and base charging pins are clean and making solid contact.

The handset is draining completely overnight even when it's sitting in the base. Why?

This is a seating issue, not a battery fault. If the handset is not fully pressed into the base cradle, the charge contacts do not close the circuit and the standby draw runs the pack flat by morning. Lift the handset out, reseat it with firm downward pressure until you feel it click or seat flush, and check that the charge indicator light comes on. If the base light confirms charging but overnight drain continues, clean the contact pins on both the handset and base with a dry cloth — oxidation on NiMH contact surfaces breaks the charge circuit intermittently.

After fitting the new battery, the Sinus 11 handset won't re-register with the base. Did the swap wipe the pairing?

Yes — some DECT handsets lose their base registration when power is fully removed, because pairing data is held in volatile memory tied to the battery. Removing the old pack clears it. To re-pair, hold the registration button on the base for three seconds until the base LED flashes, then follow the handset's Find Base or Register Handset menu sequence. Consult the Sinus 11 manual for the exact key combination — the process takes under two minutes and does not affect any other handset already registered to that base.
