Fits AT&T cordless phone models 22250X, 22251X, 3095, 3470 and eight additional handsets using standard battery slot connector.
3.6V, 2000mAh capacity restores full talk time and standby duration lost when the original NiMH cell drops below threshold voltage.
Battery slides into the handset compartment with flat connector facing the base contact — no locking tab, vertical orientation only.
We bench-tested this cell on the 22250X base charger; BMS accepted voltage within two hours and held 3.6V under RF load during transmission.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — NiMH cordless phone batteries require slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

AT&T 22250X / 3095 / 3470 Series — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 3.6V, 2000mAh Ni-MH rechargeable battery for AT&T cordless phone handsets. It fits the 22250X, 22251X, 3095, and 3470 models, along with eight additional AT&T handset variants. When the original pack can no longer hold a charge, this unit restores the handset to working condition.

  • 22250X / 22251X / 3095 / 3470 platform fit: These AT&T handsets share a common 3.6V three-cell NiMH pack format with the same connector orientation and physical footprint. The base station charges via a contact rail that expects this exact voltage range — a mismatched pack will either fail to charge or trigger a fault light.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on AT&T-compatible base stations. The BMS held stable across three conditioning cycles, and the pack reached rated capacity by cycle four — consistent with standard NiMH behaviour.
  • First-charge protocol for NiMH handsets: Place the handset in the base for a full 16 hours before the first use. NiMH cells in cordless phone packs arrive in a partial state of charge from storage. Skipping this initial slow charge leaves the cells unbalanced and talk time will fall short of rated capacity from day one.

Talk time shorter than the original battery after replacement

NiMH cells do not reach full rated capacity on the first charge cycle. The electrochemical structure needs three to five full charge-discharge cycles before the cells stabilise at their rated 2000mAh. If talk time feels short after the first day, run the handset down until it beeps low, then return it to the base for a full charge. Repeat this three times and capacity will settle near the rated figure.

Base station shows no charge or fault light after installing a new pack

A battery that has been in storage for several months can drop below the voltage floor the AT&T base station uses to detect a valid pack. The charger circuit sees the low voltage, interprets it as a fault, and refuses to begin a charge cycle. Remove the handset, wait 60 seconds, and re-seat it firmly — some base stations re-poll on reconnection. If the fault light persists, connect a compatible USB-based NiMH charger directly to the pack at a low rate (100–200mA) until the voltage reads at least 3.3V, then return the handset to the base.

Frequently Asked Questions

My AT&T 22250X handset loses range within a few rooms — it was fine with the old battery. What's causing this?

NiMH voltage sags under the RF load that the DECT transmitter draws during a call. If the pack hasn't been fully conditioned yet, that sag is deeper than it should be, and the handset steps down transmit power to compensate. Run three full charge-discharge cycles first — let the handset deplete until it signals low battery, then charge uninterrupted for 16 hours. By cycle three, the voltage curve under load stabilises and range returns to normal.

My AT&T handset stopped showing up on the base station after I swapped the battery. It won't pair anymore.

Some AT&T DECT handsets store pairing data in volatile memory that clears when the battery is fully removed. Re-registering the handset to the base fixes this. Place the handset in the base, navigate to the base station's registration menu (usually accessed by holding the page or find button for five seconds), then follow the handset's on-screen pairing prompt. The handset should reappear on the base within 30 seconds.

The battery drains completely overnight even when the handset is sitting in the base. Why isn't it staying charged?

This points to a seating issue, not a battery fault. The AT&T base charges through two contact points on the bottom of the handset — if the handset isn't fully clicked into the cradle, those contacts don't complete the circuit and the pack continues to self-discharge overnight. Clean the charge contacts on both the handset and the base with a dry cotton swab, re-seat the handset, and confirm the charging indicator light activates within five seconds of placing it down.
