Fits EnGenius EP802H cordless phone handset, replaces OEM battery CS-TKA806CL.
3.7V 1200mAh lithium-ion delivers full handset power without capacity loss over time.
Connector slots vertically into handset battery compartment with positive terminal facing upward.
We bench-tested this cell in an EP802H base paired to three handsets; BMS delivered stable voltage under idle and transmit loads.
After installation, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — lithium-ion cells in cordless phones require an initial slow charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

EnGenius EP802H — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V 1200mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original cell in the EnGenius EP802H DECT cordless handset. It fits the EP802H directly and restores handset operation when the original cell has faded. Capacity is rated at 4.44Wh.

  • EP802H handset fit: The EP802H uses a slim 3.7V Li-ion cell with a fixed connector footprint. At 53.00 × 34.00 × 5.70mm, this cell matches that footprint so the battery door closes and the contacts seat correctly against the handset terminals.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the EP802H platform. The BMS held cutoff voltage correctly at both ends — no early shutdown on draw, no overcharge at the top of the charge curve.
  • First charge on the EP802H: Place the handset in the base immediately after installing this battery and leave it for a full charge cycle before using the phone. Li-ion cells shipped at partial state of charge need one complete base-station charge to calibrate the handset's charge indicator accurately.

Talk time shorter than expected after fitting this battery

A new Li-ion cell stored before shipping arrives at a partial charge state, and the handset's fuel gauge has no reference point yet. The first one or two full charge-discharge cycles let the BMS learn the cell's actual top and bottom voltage limits. Until that happens, the handset may underestimate remaining capacity and cut off earlier than the rated 4.44Wh suggests. Run two complete cycles — full charge in base, use until the low-battery indicator appears — and talk time will stabilise.

Handset not pairing with base after battery swap

Removing the original battery cuts all power to the EP802H handset, and some DECT phones drop their base registration when power is fully interrupted. The handset and base need to re-establish the DECT link manually. Hold the handset's page or find button on the base for five seconds, then follow the pairing sequence in the EP802H manual — typically holding the handset's menu button within range of the base until the link LED confirms registration.

Frequently Asked Questions

My EP802H handset shows low battery after just a short time on a call — is the new battery faulty?

It is not faulty. A Li-ion cell shipped in storage arrives at a partial charge, and the handset's charge indicator has no calibration point for the new cell yet. Run two full cycles — charge in the base until the indicator shows full, then use the handset until the low-battery alert fires — and the reading will stabilise. If talk time is still noticeably short after three full cycles, check that the handset sits fully seated in the base cradle contacts.

The base station light isn't showing a charge on the EP802H after I fitted the new battery — what's wrong?

A Li-ion cell that has been in storage can sit below the voltage threshold the base station expects to see before it begins a charge cycle. Seat the handset firmly in the cradle and wait up to ten minutes — the base should detect the cell once the circuit settles. If the charge indicator still does not light, remove the handset, clean the gold charging contacts on both the handset and cradle with a dry cloth, then reseat it. The base should begin charging once the contact resistance drops and it reads a valid cell voltage above 3.0V.

The EP802H handset loses range quickly and breaks up on calls — could the battery cause this?

Yes. The DECT radio in the EP802H draws a surge of current each time it transmits. If the battery voltage sags under that RF load — common in the first few cycles before the cell is fully conditioned — the handset's transmit power drops and range shrinks. Charge the battery fully in the base before making calls, and give the cell two or three complete charge-discharge cycles. Voltage sag under RF load drops significantly once the cell has cycled through its full capacity range.
