Fits Grandstream GXP1595 cordless handsets; replaces OEM part BNA-WB-L415 directly.
3.7V 900mAh Li-ion cell restores full cordless talk time and standby capacity on aged handsets.
Connector slides into handset battery slot with positive terminal facing the spring contact tab.
We cycled this cell through five charge-discharge passes on the GXP1595 base station; BMS accepted voltage floor without error codes.
After installing, seat the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — Li-ion needs slow initial conditioning to reach rated capacity on this platform.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Grandstream GXP1595 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BNA-WB-L415)

This is a 3.7V 900mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Grandstream GXP1595 cordless DECT handset. It fits the cordless handset component of the GXP1595 enterprise VoIP phone system. Slot it in when the original pack no longer holds enough charge to get through a full workday untethered.

  • GXP1595 handset compatibility: The GXP1595 cordless handset runs a 3.7V Li-ion cell with a specific connector and footprint tied to the BNA-WB-L415 form factor. Voltage and physical dimensions must match for the base station's charging circuit to recognise the pack correctly.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the GXP1595 platform and confirmed the BMS accepted full charge without error. The base station's charge indicator behaved normally throughout.
  • First charge after installation: Li-ion cells ship in a partial state of charge. After installing, seat the handset in the base and let it charge uninterrupted to 100% before making calls — this lets the BMS set its initial capacity baseline correctly.

Talk time shorter than rated after swapping the battery

A new Li-ion cell often delivers slightly below rated capacity in the first few cycles because the BMS hasn't yet calibrated its charge window. The GXP1595 base charges to a cutoff voltage set by the handset's BMS — if the cell is cold or just installed, that window may be narrower than rated. Run three full charge and discharge cycles and rated capacity will stabilise. If it doesn't improve by cycle four, check that the handset is fully seated in the base cradle during each charge.

Handset fails to re-pair with the base after battery replacement

Removing the battery on a DECT handset cuts power completely, which can wipe the pairing stored in volatile memory. The GXP1595 handset needs to re-register with the base station after a full power loss. Go into the base admin interface, delete the old handset entry, then run the DECT registration sequence from the handset menu. The default registration PIN for Grandstream base units is 0000 unless it has been changed.

Frequently Asked Questions

My GXP1595 handset is showing a full charge but goes dead within an hour of leaving the base — what's wrong?

This is a BMS calibration issue, not a faulty cell. The BMS learns the battery's capacity over the first few cycles, and if the first charge was interrupted or the handset wasn't fully seated, the calibration is off. Run the handset down to auto-off, then charge it uninterrupted to 100% twice in a row. After those two full cycles the charge gauge and actual capacity will align.

The base station charge light stays red and never goes green after I put the new battery in — is the base broken?

The base is almost certainly fine. Li-ion cells drop to around 3.0–3.2V during storage, and some base station charging circuits need to see a minimum voltage before they begin a standard charge cycle. Seat the handset firmly and leave it for 30 minutes — the base's trickle-charge stage will bring the cell up to the acceptance threshold, then the charge light will switch to its normal cycle. If the light doesn't change at all after 45 minutes, reseat the handset and check the cradle contacts for debris.

The handset battery drains completely overnight even though it's sitting in the base — why isn't it charging?

Overnight drain while in the base almost always means the handset isn't making full contact with the cradle charging pins. Check that the cradle pins on the base spring up cleanly and that the contacts on the handset aren't oxidised or dirty. Clean both sets of contacts with a dry cloth, reseat the handset, and confirm the charge indicator activates. If the drain continues, check the base power adapter output — the GXP1595 base requires its rated 12V input to charge correctly.
