Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ZTE U110 / U116 / U118 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (Li3710T42P3S543556)
This is a 3.7V, 1000mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the ZTE U110, U116, U116+, and U118 cordless DECT handsets. It replaces OEM part Li3710T42P3S543556 using the same slim 52.00 × 33.67 × 5.52mm form factor. Fit it when your handset no longer holds a charge or cuts out early during calls.
- U110 / U116 / U116+ / U118 compatibility: These four handset models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.7V supply rail. The BMS in each handset communicates the same charge profile to its base station, so one cell works across all four variants without firmware differences.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on ZTE DECT handset hardware. The BMS accepted the battery without error, held voltage within the expected 3.7V nominal range, and reported charge status correctly to the base station indicator.
- First-charge protocol for DECT Li-ion handsets: After fitting the battery, seat the handset in the base and leave it on charge undisturbed for a full 16 hours before first use. DECT base stations trickle-charge at a low current, and cutting that initial cycle short reduces the usable capacity the cell settles into long-term.
Talk time shorter than the original battery after replacement
A new Li-ion cell often underperforms for the first three to five charge cycles. The cell's internal chemistry hasn't yet reached full activation, so initial capacity reads lower than rated. Each full charge-discharge cycle conditions the electrodes and pushes available capacity closer to the 1000mAh spec. Run the handset down to low-battery alert, then return it to the base for a full charge — repeat this three times and talk time should stabilise.
Handset loses DECT pairing after battery swap
Removing the battery completely cuts power to the handset's memory, and some ZTE DECT models drop their base station pairing when that happens. The handset powers on but shows no line or fails to ring. To re-pair, hold the registration button on the base station until the LED flashes, then follow the handset's locate or register menu — typically found under Settings. Once registered, the handset resumes normal operation at full signal strength.

Frequently Asked Questions
My ZTE U116 base station shows no charge light after I fitted the new battery — what's wrong?
A Li-ion cell shipped in storage can sit below the voltage threshold the base station expects before it begins a charge cycle. Seat the handset firmly in the base and wait up to 20 minutes — the base will often trickle-charge the cell until it crosses the acceptance threshold, then the charge indicator switches on. If the contact pins on the handset or base look dirty, wipe them with a dry cloth before trying again. A fully seated handset with clean contacts and a 20-minute wait resolves this in most cases.
The ZTE U110 handset drains overnight even when it's sitting in the base — is the battery faulty?
This is almost always a seating issue, not a cell fault. If the handset isn't fully clicked into the base cradle, the charge contacts don't make reliable connection and the battery slowly discharges from standby draw rather than topping up. Press the handset down until you feel it seat, check that the base charge LED activates, and check again in the morning. If the battery still drains with confirmed contact, the base station's charging circuit may not be supplying current — test with a known-good handset to isolate the fault.
The range on my ZTE U116+ dropped noticeably after I replaced the battery — why?
DECT handsets push RF transmit power from the battery directly, and a new Li-ion cell can sag under that load if it hasn't been through conditioning cycles yet. When voltage dips during transmission, the handset's RF output drops with it and range shrinks. Run three full charge-discharge cycles to bring the cell to rated capacity, and confirm the battery voltage reads 3.7V nominal on the handset's status screen if available. After conditioning, transmit power stabilises and range returns to normal.
