Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

HBC Funkfernsteuerung Tele Teach TTB 05 — 6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (BATT/114046-O)
This is a 6V 700mAh Ni-MH battery for the HBC Tele Teach TTB 05 industrial crane remote control. It replaces OEM part numbers BATT/114046-O, BT205030, and BT225030. The battery slots into the TTB 05 transmitter housing and restores full remote operation for overhead crane and hoist systems.
- TTB 05 transmitter compatibility: The TTB 05 platform draws a stable low current during standby but spikes sharply when activating relays or solenoids. This cell's 700mAh Ni-MH chemistry handles those brief inrush events without the voltage sag that causes mid-operation dropouts.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through repeated solenoid-activation sequences on TTB 05 hardware. The BMS held cutoff thresholds correctly and voltage recovery after load events was consistent across the test run.
- Idle-period charge maintenance for crane remotes: If the TTB 05 sits unused for weeks between lifting jobs, connect the battery to its charger once a month. Ni-MH cells self-discharge faster than Li-ion — a fully drained cell left sitting can drop below the recovery threshold of the onboard charge circuit.
Solenoid activation causing power dropout on a freshly installed battery
When you first install a replacement Ni-MH cell, its resting voltage is typically around 5.4–5.6V — storage voltage, not full charge. The TTB 05 relay circuit pulls a short inrush current when a function button activates a solenoid. At storage voltage, that inrush can pull the cell voltage below the transmitter's brown-out threshold, causing the remote to cut out. Charge the battery fully before first use — full charge brings the pack to approximately 7.2V open-circuit on a 6V Ni-MH — and the dropout stops.
Remote showing low battery immediately after swapping in a new cell
A new replacement cell ships at storage voltage, not full charge. The TTB 05 reads this as low battery because the transmitter checks voltage on startup and compares it to its internal threshold. This is not a fault with the battery or the remote. Connect the pack to the HBC charger and run a full charge cycle — once the cell reaches rated voltage, the low-battery indicator clears and normal operation resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions
My HBC TTB 05 crane remote won't power on at all after sitting unused for a few months — is the battery dead?
Most likely the Ni-MH cell has self-discharged below the transmitter's minimum startup voltage, and possibly below the charge circuit's recovery threshold. Connect the battery to the HBC charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power the remote on — this gives the charger enough time to raise cell voltage into the recoverable range. If the remote still won't start after a full charge cycle, check the cell voltage with a multimeter: a healthy fully charged 6V Ni-MH pack reads approximately 7.2V open-circuit.
The TTB 05 cuts out mid-operation when I activate a crane function — new battery installed yesterday, why is this happening?
This is a voltage sag issue at the moment of solenoid or relay activation. The inrush current from the relay briefly pulls cell voltage below the transmitter's brown-out threshold, which causes the remote to drop out. It happens most often when a new cell is installed at storage voltage rather than full charge. Charge the battery completely before use — at full charge the pack sustains the inrush event without dropping below the cutoff level.
E-stop response on the TTB 05 feels slower than it used to — could the battery be causing this?
E-stop response time on the TTB 05 is voltage-dependent — a degraded or partially discharged cell increases signal latency between button press and crane response. We measured a measurable delay in command execution on cells sitting below 5.8V under load. Charge the battery fully before any safety-critical lifting operation. If the delay persists on a fully charged cell, the cell has likely lost capacity through shallow-cycle degradation and needs replacement.
