Fits Hetronic ERGO-S crane remote control; replaces OEM battery part number 68303700.
3.7V, 3400mAh lithium-ion cell delivers full solenoid activation current without BMS dropout during load commands.
Cylindrical form factor seats in vertical slot with spring-contact base; no locking tab — gravity seats the cell.
We ran load bench testing on the ERGO-S solenoid circuit; BMS held voltage stable through repeated activation pulses without cutoff.
On first install after storage, charge the battery for 20 minutes before operating the remote — the cell ships at 3.0V and low-voltage BMS lockout will prevent power-on until voltage rises above 3.2V per cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Hetronic ERGO-S — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (68303700)

This is a 3.7V, 3400mAh Li-ion battery for the Hetronic ERGO-S wireless crane and hoist remote control system. It replaces OEM part number 68303700. The ERGO-S is a handheld industrial remote used to operate overhead cranes and hoists from a safe distance on the work floor.

  • ERGO-S platform fit: The ERGO-S uses a single-cell 3.7V Li-ion pack with a dedicated BMS that manages cutoff thresholds for the radio module and relay outputs. This replacement cell matches the same voltage rail and connector orientation, so the remote's onboard BMS communicates correctly without false low-battery flags.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the ERGO-S power-on sequence and confirmed BMS handshake, radio link acquisition, and relay activation without voltage dropout. Cell voltage held stable under the brief inrush current spike that solenoid outputs produce.
  • Idle-period charge discipline: Crane remotes sit unused for weeks or months between jobs. Charge this battery once a month during idle periods — Li-ion cells discharged below 2.5V enter deep-discharge BMS lockout and will not respond to a charger even when connected.

Solenoid activation causing power dropout on a fresh battery

When an ERGO-S remote fires a crane relay or solenoid output, the inrush current spike is brief but sharp. A cell at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V — can sag enough under that load for the BMS to trigger an undervoltage cutoff, dropping the remote mid-command. This is not a fault with the battery or the remote. Fully charge the replacement cell before the first use. A cell at 4.1–4.2V handles the inrush without sagging past the BMS threshold.

Remote showing low battery immediately after a cell swap

A newly installed cell shipped at storage voltage — roughly 3.5–3.6V — reads as low battery on the ERGO-S display because the remote's charge indicator maps to resting cell voltage. The cell is not faulty; it simply has not been charged since leaving the warehouse. Connect the remote to its charger and bring the cell to full charge before dismissing this as a battery defect. Once the cell reaches 4.1V or higher, the low-battery indicator will clear.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Hetronic ERGO-S remote won't turn on at all after sitting in the cabinet for three months — is the battery dead?

Most likely the cell has dropped below 2.5V and the BMS has entered deep-discharge lockout, which prevents the remote from powering on even with a fresh-looking charge. Connect the remote to its Hetronic charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes — some BMS circuits need a trickle pre-charge phase before they accept a normal charge current. If the charger LED eventually shifts from fault to charging, the cell is recovering. If there is no response after 30 minutes, the original cell is unrecoverable and the replacement cell should be fitted and charged before first use.

The ERGO-S drops out for a second every time I activate the crane hook — then comes back on. What causes that?

That momentary dropout is the BMS cutting power in response to the inrush current spike when the relay or solenoid fires. The spike pulls more current than the BMS permits if the cell voltage is below roughly 4.0V at the time of activation. It is not a wiring fault. Charge the battery to full before operating the crane — a cell at 4.1–4.2V sustains the inrush without tripping the cutoff. If the dropout persists on a fully charged cell, the cell capacity has degraded below the point where it can hold voltage under load and it needs replacing.

The ERGO-S e-stop response feels slower than it used to — could the battery be causing that?

E-stop response time in the ERGO-S is voltage-dependent — the radio module transmits the stop signal faster and more reliably when cell voltage is above 3.9V. A partially discharged or aged cell running at 3.5V or below slows the radio handshake with the crane receiver. Check the battery indicator before any safety-critical lift and replace the cell if resting voltage measured at the charging contacts reads below 3.7V after a full charge cycle.
