Fits Streamlight Portable Scene Light II model 46005 replacement battery pack.
11.1V 3-cell lithium-ion pack delivers 5200mAh capacity for extended work-light operation on job sites.
Battery slides into the light's rear compartment with a keyed connector — orientation is fixed by the slot design.
We ran discharge cycles on this pack through a Streamlight charger; BMS engaged protection at nominal cutoff with clean voltage ramp.
On first charge with the Streamlight charger, do not interrupt the cycle if the light cycles between modes — the driver is balancing the 3-cell stack and will stabilize after full charge completes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Streamlight Portable Scene Light II — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (46005)

This 11.1V 5200mAh (57.72Wh) Li-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Streamlight Portable Scene Light II. It fits the three-cell configuration that powers the scene light's LED array at job sites, emergency scenes, and outdoor worksites. The OEM part number is 46005.

  • Portable Scene Light II compatibility: The Scene Light II uses an 11.1V three-cell Li-ion pack wired to a driver board with a specific BMS handshake. This replacement matches that voltage rail and connector, so the driver board recognises the pack and enables full output from the first charge.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the Scene Light II's driver board. The BMS communicated correctly at each stage — no false low-voltage cutoffs and no fault flags during high-draw LED operation.
  • Multi-cell replacement timing: The Scene Light II runs three cells in series. If you mix this new pack into a unit that still has a partially degraded original cell elsewhere in the chain, the weakest cell drains first under high-current draw. Replace the full pack as a unit — never mix old and new cells from different batches.

Why the Scene Light II steps down output before the battery indicator reads low

The Scene Light II's LED driver uses brownout protection — it monitors cell voltage in real time, not just pack-level state of charge. When any one of the three cells drops below the driver's threshold under load, the driver steps output down to protect both the LEDs and the cells. This can happen before the indicator lamp signals low battery because the indicator reads average pack voltage, not per-cell voltage under load. A new, balanced pack eliminates this early stepdown because all three cells drain at the same rate and hold voltage more consistently under draw.

Scene Light II won't power on after sitting unused for several months

Li-ion cells self-discharge at roughly 2–3% per month. After extended storage, the pack voltage can drop below the BMS's minimum re-initialisation threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell, or 7.5V for this three-cell pack. When that happens, the BMS locks the output rail and the light won't turn on even when connected to the charger. Place the pack on the Scene Light II's charger for at least two to four hours before concluding it is dead — many BMS circuits have a trickle-recovery mode that slowly raises cell voltage back above 3.0V per cell before enabling full charge current.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Scene Light II dims noticeably during use but the battery indicator still shows green — is the battery failing?

This is the LED driver's brownout protection stepping output down when per-cell voltage sags under high-current draw, even though pack-level average voltage still reads okay to the indicator. It happens most often with an ageing pack where cells have drifted out of balance. Swap in a fresh, balanced pack and the driver will hold full output further into the discharge cycle. If the dimming reappears quickly on a new pack, check that the charger is completing a full charge — measure pack voltage after charging, which should read close to 12.6V for a fully charged three-cell Li-ion pack.

One side of the Scene Light II's LED array is noticeably dimmer than the other — could this be a battery issue?

Uneven cell drain in a three-cell series pack can create a voltage imbalance that the driver interprets as a fault on one output channel, causing it to reduce current to part of the LED array. This is most common when an old and new cell are mixed in the same pack, or when a cell has developed higher internal resistance from repeated deep discharges. Check pack voltage under load with a multimeter — a balanced pack should hold above 10.5V at the terminals during normal operation. If it drops below that quickly, replace the full pack rather than attempting to rebalance individual cells.

The Scene Light II charged overnight but the battery drained much faster than expected on the next use — what causes that?

A Li-ion pack that sat discharged for an extended period often recovers only partial capacity on the first charge because the BMS enters a slow trickle-recovery charge rather than a full charge cycle. One overnight charge may not be enough to complete the full cycle. Put the pack through two full charge cycles — charge until the charger indicates complete, then run the light to low output, then charge again fully — and check whether runtime improves. If capacity remains noticeably short after two full cycles, the cells have degraded past recovery and the pack needs replacement.
