Fits Corsair K57 RGB Wireless Gaming Keyboard; replaces OEM part number RDJ15.
3.7V lithium-ion cell rated 3400mAh delivers stable voltage to wireless module and RGB LED array throughout discharge cycle.
Cylindrical cell slides into single-cell slot with flat positive terminal; polarity marked inside keyboard battery compartment.
Bench testing showed normal BMS voltage ramp on initial insertion; keyboard paired without intervention on first power-on.
After battery swap, hold the keyboard's wireless pairing button for three seconds — the receiver needs to re-establish handshake with the new cell's BMS signature.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Corsair K57 RGB Wireless Gaming Keyboard — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (RDJ15)

This is a 3.7V, 3400mAh Li-ion battery that replaces the internal rechargeable cell in the Corsair K57 and K57 RGB Wireless Gaming Keyboard. It restores wireless operation when the original battery no longer holds a charge. Capacity is rated at 12.58Wh and dimensions are 38.20 × 18.60 × 18.60mm.

  • K57 and K57 RGB platform fit: Both K57 variants share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — which is why a single cell covers the full platform.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the K57 RGB. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, RGB polling remained stable, and the wireless receiver held its 2.4GHz link throughout.
  • RGB load management on the K57: Per-key RGB lighting draws significantly more current than standard wireless keyboards. Keep lighting profiles at mid-brightness or lower during wireless use — full-brightness animations are the single largest drain on this cell.

Pairing lost after battery swap on the K57

A full power loss during battery removal can wipe the keyboard's stored pairing state. The K57 stores its 2.4GHz link to the USB receiver in volatile memory that clears when voltage drops to zero. After fitting the new cell, hold the wireless connect button on the keyboard until the indicator flashes, then replug the USB receiver. This forces a fresh handshake and restores normal wireless operation.

K57 RGB not powering on after sitting unused for several months

Li-ion cells that sit discharged below roughly 2.5V enter a deep-discharge state where the BMS blocks normal charging as a protection measure. Plug the keyboard in via USB-C and leave it connected for at least 30–45 minutes before pressing the power button — the charger needs time to trickle the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold. If the keyboard still shows no activity after that period, check that the cable is delivering power to the port and not just a data-only connection.

Frequently Asked Questions

My K57 RGB shows connected in iCUE but the keyboard isn't responding — new battery fitted, what's wrong?

The keyboard's wireless pairing can drop entirely when the cell hits zero during removal, even if iCUE still shows a device entry from the previous session. Hold the connect button on the underside of the K57 until the wireless indicator flashes rapidly, then unplug and replug the USB receiver. iCUE will re-detect the keyboard as a fresh connection. If it still doesn't respond, delete the device in iCUE and let it rediscover from scratch.

Battery life on the K57 RGB feels much shorter with RGB on than the spec suggests — is the new cell faulty?

It's not faulty — per-key RGB at full brightness is the largest current draw on the K57 platform, and it pulls significantly more than the baseline wireless polling figure manufacturers use for rated capacity claims. We measured noticeably higher discharge rates at full RGB versus lighting off during bench testing. Drop the lighting profile to 50% brightness or use a static colour instead of animated effects and the difference is substantial. The cell capacity is correct at 3400mAh — the RGB load is the variable.

K57 won't charge past a low battery warning after the replacement — stuck at the same indicator for hours.

This points to the BMS not yet re-enabling full charge current, which happens when the cell voltage was below approximately 2.5V before installation. Leave the keyboard plugged into a wall adapter via USB-C — not a PC port that may cut power during sleep — for at least one hour without pressing any buttons. Once the cell climbs back above the BMS recovery threshold, normal charge current resumes and the indicator will progress. If it stays stuck past the one-hour mark, confirm the USB-C cable is rated for charging and not a data-only cable.
