Fits G-Force 600 Pro, 800 Pro, and R1000 cordless mowers; replaces OEM battery CS-YFA800PW.
28V lithium-ion pack delivers 5000mAh capacity for full-deck cutting cycles on yard-sized properties.
Slides into the mower's battery slot with a single locking tab; connector seats flush without force.
We bench-tested this cell through five charge cycles; BMS accepted full voltage on cycle one with no fault codes.
Before first spring use, bring the pack indoors overnight if outdoor temperature is below 10°C — cold cells raise internal resistance and can trip the BMS during blade motor startup under load.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

G-Force 600 Pro / 800 Pro / R1000 — 28V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 28V Li-ion battery rated at 5000mAh (140Wh), built to fit the G-Force 600 Pro, 800 Pro, and R1000 cordless lawn mowers. It replaces the original pack when capacity fades or the battery no longer holds a charge. Drop it into the mower's battery slot and resume cutting without any modification.

  • 600 Pro, 800 Pro, and R1000 fit: All three mowers share the same 28V battery platform, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One replacement covers the full range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through simulated blade-load draws and confirmed the BMS handled inrush current without nuisance trips. Voltage held stable across sustained high-draw passes.
  • Seasonal storage before use: If the mower has sat in an unheated garage over winter, bring the battery indoors overnight before first use. Below 10°C, Li-ion internal resistance rises sharply — the blade motor's inrush current can trip the BMS on a cold pack before it even starts cutting.

BMS cutoff on thick-grass and wet-grass blade load

The blade motor on the 600 Pro draws a significant inrush current each time it bites into dense or wet grass. If the BMS detects a current spike beyond its threshold, it cuts the output to protect the cells. This shows up as a sudden stop mid-row, with the mower recovering after a few seconds once load drops. Mowing in two passes instead of one through heavy growth keeps peak draw within the BMS window.

Charger showing fault light after winter storage

Li-ion cells that sit unused for several months can self-discharge below the charger's acceptance voltage — typically under 2.5V per cell. At that point, the charger sees the pack as faulty and refuses to initiate a full charge cycle. Some chargers have a recovery or trickle mode; connect the pack and hold the charge button for 10 seconds to trigger it. If the fault clears, allow a full charge cycle before running the mower — target a resting voltage of 29.4V before use.

Frequently Asked Questions

My G-Force mower cuts out halfway through a row and then starts again on its own — what's happening?

This is thermal protection activating. When the blade motor runs hot — usually after consecutive passes in thick or damp grass — the BMS shuts output to prevent cell damage, then resets once temperature drops. It is not a fault with the battery. Allow a 5-minute cooldown with the mower stationary, then continue.

The charger won't accept this battery after it sat in the shed all winter — the fault light comes on immediately.

The cells most likely discharged below the charger's minimum acceptance threshold over winter storage. Connect the pack to the charger and hold the charge button for 10 seconds to trigger the recovery or wake-up mode if your charger supports it. Once the charge cycle initiates, let it run to completion before using the mower. A fully recovered pack should read 29.4V at rest before you install it.

The new battery runs noticeably warmer than my old one during the first few cuts — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. New Li-ion cells generate slightly more heat during the first 3–5 discharge cycles as the electrodes condition. We observed the same behaviour on the bench — surface temperature normalises after those initial cycles. If the pack is still running unusually hot after 5 full charge-discharge cycles, check that the battery slot is clear of grass clippings blocking airflow around the pack.
