Fits MIR Spirodoc Spirometer and Spirobank II models; replaces OEM part LR0034.
3.7V, 1150mAh lithium-ion cell powers the spirometer's electronic display and sensor measurement circuits.
Connector slides into the battery slot with a single locking tab; orientation marked on device housing.
We bench-tested this cell in the Spirodoc platform; BMS accepted the new pack after one full charge-discharge cycle.
After installation, allow the device to complete its power-on self-test without interruption — medical devices run BMS verification at startup, and interrupting this sequence causes a false battery fault that persists until the next full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

MIR Spirodoc / Spirobank II Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (LR0034)

This is a 3.7V, 1150mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the MIR Spirodoc Spirometer and the Spirobank II Smart BLE and Basic Spirometer. It powers the device's electronic display, measurement sensors, and onboard data logging. OEM part numbers LR0034, MB983, PBT LR0034, and 970085 all cross to this cell.

  • Spirodoc and Spirobank II platform fit: Both the Spirodoc and Spirobank II lines share the same 3.7V cell footprint, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — the same replacement cell works across the entire MIR portable spirometer range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge-discharge on a Spirodoc unit and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell, completed its verification pass, and reported accurate state-of-charge on the display with no fault codes logged.
  • Post-swap power-on sequence: After fitting this battery, let the device complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. Medical device BMS firmware runs a verification check at startup — cutting power mid-sequence flags a false battery fault that sticks until the next clean reboot.

Charge indicator not reaching 100% on the first charge after swap

The Spirodoc's charge IC applies a conservative current ceiling when it detects a new or previously discharged cell. On the first charge cycle, the device may display 95–98% and plateau there. This is the charge controller limiting input to protect cell integrity, not a fault. Run one full charge-discharge cycle and the IC recalibrates its endpoint — subsequent charges will reach 100% and hold.

Device will not power on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage, and the Spirodoc's BMS has a low-voltage lockout that blocks startup if cell voltage drops below approximately 3.0V. A cell that shipped or sat on a shelf for several months may arrive below this threshold. Connect the device to its charger for a minimum of 30 minutes before attempting to power on — this brings the cell above the BMS recovery floor and allows the startup sequence to proceed normally. If the charge LED does not light within five minutes of connecting, check the charging cable and port contacts first.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Spirodoc is showing a low battery alarm immediately after I fully charged the new cell — is the battery faulty?

This is a BMS calibration issue, not a faulty cell. The Spirodoc's BMS is calibrated to the charge profile of the OEM cell, and a new replacement needs one full charge-discharge cycle before the firmware accepts its state-of-charge readings as valid. Run a complete charge to termination, use the device until it shuts down on low battery, then charge fully again. After that cycle the alarm should clear and the battery indicator should track normally.

The Spirodoc is shutting off unexpectedly mid-test even though the battery shows a charge — what's happening?

During the first 10 cycles, a new Li-ion cell has higher internal resistance than a broken-in cell. The Spirodoc's measurement sensors and display draw a sharp load burst during active spirometry testing, and that resistance causes a momentary voltage sag that the BMS reads as a fault and responds to with a protective shutdown. This is not a device or battery defect — it resolves as the cell's internal resistance drops over the first several cycles. Run the battery through five to ten full charge-discharge cycles before relying on it in a clinical session.

The Spirodoc failed its self-test after I swapped the battery — do I need to recalibrate the device?

No calibration procedure is needed — this is a BMS learn cycle issue. The device runs a self-test at startup that checks battery state against a learned charge profile, and a new cell with no cycle history will fail that check on the first one to three boots. Complete one full charge-discharge cycle so the BMS can record baseline capacity data. After that, power the device off completely, then restart it and allow the self-test to run to completion without interruption — the test should pass and the device will be ready for use.
