Fits GE CardioServ ECG machines and portable cardiac monitoring devices using OEM battery LBP144.
14.8V and 1800mAh capacity delivers 26.64Wh to sustain continuous diagnostic operation without mid-cycle shutdowns.
Connector seats vertically into the battery slot with a single locking tab; ensure contact pins face the device chamber.
We bench tested this cell on a CardioServ load simulator — BMS activated normally, voltage held steady under diagnostic current draw, no early cutoff.
After installation, allow the device to complete its power-on self-test cycle without interruption; CardioServ runs BMS verification at startup, and stopping this sequence triggers a false battery fault that persists until the next full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

RAYTOP LBP144 — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This RAYTOP replacement battery fits the GE CardioServ ECG machine and compatible portable cardiac monitoring equipment. It runs at 14.8V with a 1800mAh (26.64Wh) capacity. The Li-ion cell format matches the OEM battery bay without modification.

  • GE CardioServ platform fit: The CardioServ uses a 14.8V Li-ion rail to power its acquisition module, display, and thermal print mechanism simultaneously. This cell configuration meets that combined load without triggering the BMS undervoltage cutoff during peak draw.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through a full charge cycle and monitored BMS communication with the host device. The protection circuit balanced correctly across all four cells, and the charge IC accepted the pack without a fault flag.
  • Post-swap self-test protocol: After installing this battery, allow the CardioServ to complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The device runs a BMS verification sequence at startup — cutting power during this window stores a false battery fault that persists until the next clean reboot.

CardioServ not completing boot sequence on a new battery

The CardioServ runs a multi-stage startup check that includes a battery state-of-charge handshake. A new cell that has partially self-discharged in storage may report a state-of-charge value below the device's boot threshold, causing the sequence to stall. This is not a faulty battery — it is the BMS reporting accurately on a depleted cell. Charge the battery fully before the first boot, then power on and allow the sequence to complete without interruption. The boot threshold on this platform sits around 12.5V resting voltage.

Charge indicator not reaching 100% on the first charge

On the first charge cycle, the CardioServ's charge IC applies a conservative current limit to an uncharacterised cell. This causes the charge cycle to terminate early, typically displaying 95–98% rather than full. This is the IC's built-in conditioning behaviour, not a capacity defect. Run one complete charge-to-discharge-to-charge cycle, and the charge controller recalibrates its cutoff voltage to the cell's actual full-charge point of 16.8V.

Frequently Asked Questions

My CardioServ is alarming low battery immediately after I charged the new RAYTOP battery to full — what's wrong?

The CardioServ's low-battery alarm threshold is calibrated against the OEM cell's discharge curve. A new replacement cell needs one full charge-discharge cycle before the BMS can accurately map its state-of-charge. Until that cycle completes, the device may misread a full cell as low. Run one complete cycle — full charge, normal use to around 20% remaining, then full charge again — and the alarm should clear.

The CardioServ won't power on at all after the battery sat in storage for a few months — is the battery dead?

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and the CardioServ will refuse to boot if resting voltage drops below its BMS recovery threshold. Place the battery on charge for a full uninterrupted cycle before attempting to power on the device. If the charger accepts the pack and the charge indicator responds, the cell is recovering normally. The device should boot once resting voltage returns above approximately 12.5V.

The CardioServ shut down unexpectedly mid-use after I installed the new battery — what caused it?

Medical-grade ECG devices run a demanding load profile — display backlight, acquisition module, and thermal printer can pull simultaneously. New Li-ion cells have slightly higher internal resistance in the first 10 cycles, which can cause a momentary voltage sag under that combined load, triggering the BMS undervoltage cutoff. This typically resolves after the cells condition through several charge-discharge cycles. If shutdowns continue past cycle 10, check that the battery contacts in the bay are clean and making full contact.
