Fits VIDA CPE2000B 4G LTE router; replaces OEM part CPE2000B battery.
3.8V, 4800mAh pack delivers full capacity for sustained cellular modem and WiFi broadcast.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a single retention tab lock.
Bench testing showed clean voltage ramp on first charge; BMS accepted load immediately.
Keep the router in a well-ventilated spot during extended sessions — the cellular radio draws maximum power in poor signal areas, heating both modem and battery significantly.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

VIDA CPE2000B 4G LTE CPE Router — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (CPE2000B)

This is a 3.8V, 4800mAh Li-Polymer battery for the VIDA CPE2000B 4G LTE CPE Router. It fits directly into the CPE2000B and restores the power capacity lost when the original cell degrades. Voltage and capacity match the OEM specification exactly.

  • CPE2000B platform fit: The CPE2000B runs a combined modem-plus-WiFi load off a single 3.8V cell. This battery matches that voltage rail and the physical footprint (73.60 × 46.00 × 9.00mm), so the BMS handshake initialises correctly on first boot.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell under a simulated multi-device load — modem transmitting and WiFi broadcasting simultaneously. The BMS held the discharge curve without tripping and recovered cleanly from a low-state-of-charge condition.
  • Ventilation during extended sessions: Keep the CPE2000B in an open, ventilated spot when running it for long periods. When connected devices are far from the router, the cellular radio boosts to maximum output power — sustained RF transmission generates heat that accelerates cell wear faster than any other operating condition on this device.

Why the CPE2000B drops connections mid-session under full client load

When the CPE2000B is serving multiple clients at once, the modem and WiFi radios draw current simultaneously. An aged or partially degraded cell cannot sustain that combined load without voltage sagging below the BMS protection threshold. The BMS interprets that sag as a fault and cuts output to protect the cell — which the connected devices see as a sudden disconnect. A fresh 4800mAh cell at full charge maintains the voltage headroom needed to absorb those combined peak draws without triggering a cut-off.

CPE2000B won't boot after sitting unused for several weeks

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge slowly during storage. If the CPE2000B sat unused long enough, the cell voltage may have dropped below the minimum boot threshold — typically around 3.0V for this chemistry — and the device will show no response when the power button is pressed. Plugging in the charger and leaving it for 15–20 minutes lets the BMS trickle enough charge into the cell to cross the boot voltage floor. If the device still does not respond after that period, check that the charger output is delivering the correct voltage at the connector before replacing any components.

Frequently Asked Questions

My CPE2000B keeps dropping WiFi connections for all devices at the same time — what's causing this?

This happens when the combined current draw from the modem and WiFi radio pulls cell voltage below the BMS protection threshold. The BMS reads that as a fault and cuts output, which every connected device sees as a simultaneous drop. It's not a firmware issue — it's voltage sag from a cell that can no longer handle the peak load. Replace the battery and confirm it charges to at least 4.2V before running a full client session.

The CPE2000B battery drains noticeably faster when I'm in an area with weak 4G signal — is something wrong with this battery?

Nothing is wrong. In poor signal areas, the cellular modem ramps to maximum transmit power trying to hold the network connection, which is the highest sustained current draw the device produces. A single connected device in a weak-signal zone can pull more power than five devices in a strong-signal zone. This is normal modem behaviour — move the router closer to a window or elevated position to reduce transmit power demand and slow drain.

The CPE2000B gets noticeably warm during long sessions — will that damage the new battery?

Heat is the primary cause of Li-Polymer capacity fade, and the CPE2000B generates most of it through sustained RF transmission rather than the battery itself. Place the device on a hard, flat surface with nothing covering the vents, and keep it away from direct sunlight or enclosed spaces like bags or car dashboards. If the unit feels too hot to hold comfortably, the modem is likely at full transmit power — check signal strength and reposition the router before continuing the session.
