Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bea-fon SL860 Touch — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SL860)
This is a 3.7V Li-ion cell rated at 1450mAh (5.37Wh), built to fit the Bea-fon SL860 Touch and SL860_EU001B. It replaces the original cell when the phone no longer holds charge through a normal day of calls and texts. Dimensions are 64.80 x 44.00 x 5.20mm — check these against your original before ordering.
- SL860 Touch and SL860_EU001B compatibility: Both variants use the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.7V nominal voltage rail, so one cell covers both. No adapter or wiring change needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled the cell through full charge and discharge on the SL860 platform and logged BMS cutoff behaviour at both ends — low-voltage lockout triggers cleanly at the cell floor, and charge termination cuts correctly at full capacity.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first installation, disable any fast-charge mode and run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge fully to 100%. This gives the fuel gauge IC a clean reference curve against the new cell before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.
Why the SL860 Touch reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The SL860 Touch uses a fuel gauge IC that builds its charge model around the discharge curve of the original cell. When a new cell goes in, the IC is still reading against the old curve, so reported percentage drifts from actual state of charge. You may see the phone jump from 40% to 15% in minutes, or sit at 1% and keep running. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the coulomb counter against the new cell's actual curve. After that cycle, percentage tracking stabilises.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on a replacement cell
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity issue. Under modem load — during a call or a data burst — the cell voltage sags sharply, and the BMS trips the output before the fuel gauge registers low charge. It happens most often in the first few cycles on a new cell before the internal resistance settles. If shutdowns persist past the third full cycle, confirm the cell is seated flat with no connector flex. A resting open-circuit voltage of 3.85V or above after a full charge confirms the cell itself is not at fault.

Frequently Asked Questions
The phone powers on for a second then shuts off immediately after I put the new battery in — what's wrong?
The replacement cell likely entered BMS lockout during storage, which happens when cell voltage drops below 2.5V. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on — do not use a PC USB port, as current output is too low to wake a locked-out BMS. Once the charge IC pushes enough current to lift the cell above the lockout threshold, the phone will boot normally. If the phone still won't respond after 30 minutes on a wall charger, check that the battery connector is fully seated with no bent pins.
Fast charging stopped working after I fitted the replacement battery — is the charger the problem?
The charger is almost certainly fine. On the first cycle after a cell swap, the BMS on the new cell may not complete the handshake required for fast-charge protocol acceptance, so the charge IC falls back to standard 5V charging as a safety default. Run one full standard charge to 100%, then discharge the phone normally to automatic shutdown. On the second cycle, reconnect your fast charger — the BMS handshake succeeds once the cell has been through one complete charge reference cycle.
The phone feels warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — is that normal?
Some warmth in the first two or three charge cycles is expected. A new cell starts with slightly higher internal impedance than a conditioned cell, so the charge IC dissipates a little more energy as heat while current flows into it. Warmth that makes the back panel uncomfortable to hold is not normal — that indicates a faulty cell or a short at the connector. Mild warmth that fades by the third or fourth cycle is the cell conditioning. If the temperature does not drop off after three full charge cycles, measure resting voltage after a full charge — it should read between 4.18V and 4.22V.
