Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU Vivo XI — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (C736241300P)
This is a 3.8V, 2900mAh lithium-polymer battery that replaces part number C736241300P in the BLU Vivo XI smartphone. It fits the V0330WW and V0320VV hardware variants as well. The cell matches the original voltage rail and physical footprint at 75.96 × 62.25 × 4.50mm.
- Vivo XI, V0330WW, and V0320VV compatibility: All three variants share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — so a single cell covers the full production run without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the Vivo XI platform. The BMS accepted charge handshake on the first connection and held voltage within spec across the discharge curve without triggering an early cutoff.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before fast charging pushes higher current into an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BLU Vivo XI after a cell swap
A fresh lithium-polymer cell has a steeper voltage cliff than a worn original — the phone's fuel gauge IC is still reading the old discharge curve and misjudges remaining capacity. When a high-draw event hits (screen at full brightness, LTE handoff, or GPS active), the new cell's voltage drops briefly below the shutdown threshold before the reported percentage reaches zero. The fix is a full calibration cycle: drain the phone to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with fast charging off. After one full cycle the coulomb counter aligns to the new cell and the early shutdowns stop.
USB fast charge not activating after battery replacement
The Vivo XI's charge IC uses a handshake sequence to verify cell impedance before enabling elevated charge current. On the first cycle with a new cell, the BMS may return an impedance value outside the expected window, causing the charge IC to fall back to standard 5V charging. This is not a fault — it clears after one standard charge cycle as the BMS logs the new cell's baseline. Plug in with a 5V/2A charger, let the phone charge fully without interruption, and fast charge will re-enable on the next connection.

Frequently Asked Questions
My BLU Vivo XI shuts off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is something wrong with the cell?
Nothing is wrong with the cell. The phone's fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old battery's discharge curve, so it miscalculates how much charge is left. When a high-draw event — screen, LTE, or GPS — briefly pulls voltage below 3.4V, the phone shuts down even though the reported percentage looks fine. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown and then charge to 100% with fast charging disabled. That single cycle resets the coulomb counter to the new cell.
The battery percentage on my Vivo XI is jumping around erratically after the swap — it went from 60% to 45% in seconds.
That's the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against a new cell it hasn't seen before. The IC's stored discharge model no longer matches the actual voltage curve of the replacement cell, so percentage readings swing as it tries to correlate voltage to capacity. It corrects itself after one or two full discharge-charge cycles. Do not interrupt charging during those first cycles — a partial cycle extends the recalibration period.
Phone gets noticeably warm near the battery area while charging the new cell — is this a problem?
Some warmth is expected on the first few charge cycles with a fresh lithium-polymer cell. A new cell starts with higher internal impedance than a broken-in one, so the charge IC dissipates slightly more energy as heat during the constant-current phase. Temperature should drop to normal levels after two or three full cycles as the cell's impedance settles. If the back of the phone becomes too hot to hold comfortably, unplug and check that the charger output does not exceed 5V/2A.
