Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Brondi AMICO Gentile — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (1ICP6/34/55)
This 3.7V 1000mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original battery in the Brondi AMICO Gentile, a simplified mobile phone built for elderly users. It matches the OEM part number 1ICP6/34/55 and the original 57.60 x 39.80 x 5.20mm footprint. Capacity is rated at 1000mAh (3.7Wh) — identical to factory spec.
- AMICO Gentile fit: The AMICO Gentile uses a single-cell Li-Polymer pack with a low-current BMS — the phone's charge IC expects a fixed 3.7V nominal rail and a specific cell impedance range. This replacement cell matches that impedance profile, so the charge IC does not reject the pack on first connection.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and controlled discharge on the AMICO Gentile platform. The BMS accepted charge current without interruption, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle before normal use. The AMICO Gentile's fuel gauge IC holds calibration data from the old cell. A full cycle lets it rewrite that curve against the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity slope — percentage readings stabilise after this single pass.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the AMICO Gentile after cell replacement
A new Li-Polymer cell has a slightly different voltage discharge curve than the aged cell it replaces. The AMICO Gentile's fuel gauge IC still maps percentage to the old, degraded curve — so it reads 25% remaining when the new cell is actually closer to its real cutoff under load. When the phone draws current for a call or screen wake, terminal voltage dips briefly below the BMS protection threshold and the phone cuts out. One full discharge-recharge cycle corrects the stored curve. After that cycle, shutdowns at false-low percentages stop.
Phone not powering on after the replacement cell sat in storage
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge during storage. If the cell voltage has dropped below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters lockout mode and blocks all current flow to protect the cell from damage. The phone will show no response — no charge indicator, no boot screen. Connect the phone to its charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS re-entry threshold, typically around 2.9V, at which point the BMS re-initialises and normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions
The AMICO Gentile shows 30% battery and then shuts off without warning — is the new cell faulty?
The cell is not faulty. The phone's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the old, degraded cell and still uses that worn discharge curve to estimate remaining charge. When load spikes during a call or screen event, the new cell's terminal voltage dips briefly below the BMS cutoff threshold at a point the gauge still reads as 30%. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That single cycle rewrites the fuel gauge curve to match the new cell.
The battery percentage on the AMICO Gentile jumps around erratically after fitting this replacement — 60% one minute, 45% the next.
Erratic percentage jumps are a fuel gauge recalibration problem, not a cell defect. The coulomb counter in the AMICO Gentile's charge IC is still referencing capacity data from the old cell. Until it completes a full reference cycle on the new cell, its state-of-charge estimates are unreliable. Complete one uninterrupted discharge from 100% to automatic shutoff, then charge fully in one session. Percentage readings stabilise after that cycle is complete.
The AMICO Gentile won't respond at all after I installed the replacement — nothing happens when I press power or plug in the charger.
If the replacement cell discharged below approximately 2.5V during storage, the BMS locks out all current flow. The phone cannot boot and the charge indicator will not appear. Plug into the original charger and leave it connected for at least 25 minutes without pressing any button. The charge IC delivers a trickle current that slowly raises cell voltage back above the BMS re-entry threshold — around 2.9V — after which the BMS releases, charging resumes normally, and the phone will power on.
