Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Mobiado Lucido / Luminoso / Stealth — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BP-6M-S)
This is a 3.7V, 1100mAh Li-ion cell built to the BP-6M-S specification. It fits the Mobiado Lucido, Luminoso, and Stealth smartphones. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a charge or the phone shuts down unexpectedly during normal use.
- Lucido, Luminoso, and Stealth compatibility: All three models share the same 40.20 × 40.90 × 6.50mm cell footprint, 3.7V nominal voltage rail, and BP-6M-S connector pinout. The BMS handshake protocol is identical across the trio, so one cell revision covers all three variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a BP-6M-S compatible test rig, confirmed BMS communication at full charge, and verified the protection circuit trips correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold before the cell reaches a damaging depth of discharge.
- First-cycle fuel gauge recalibration: After installation, disable fast charging if available and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle before normal use. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve — skipping this step is the main reason percentage readings jump or stall after a cell swap.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Mobiado Lucido after a cell swap
This is a voltage cliff failure, not a capacity problem. At 20–30% indicated charge, modem activity or screen load pulls a current spike the new cell cannot sustain without the terminal voltage dropping below the BMS cutoff threshold. The phone interprets this hard cutoff as a dead battery and shuts down, even though the fuel gauge shows charge remaining. The fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell — it does not yet know where the new cell's voltage cliff sits. One complete discharge-charge cycle recalibrates the coulomb counter and pushes the reported cutoff point to match the real cell behaviour.
Phone will not power on after the replacement cell sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage, and a BP-6M-S cell stored below roughly 2.5V per cell will trigger BMS lockout — the protection circuit opens and blocks current flow entirely to prevent further damage. Plugging in a charger shows no response because the charge IC never receives power from the locked-out cell. Connect the phone to a wall adapter — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 15 to 30 minutes without pressing the power button. Most charge ICs on this platform run a trickle pre-charge recovery routine that slowly raises cell voltage back above the 2.9V re-initialisation threshold before switching to normal CC/CV charging.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Mobiado Lucido battery percentage jumps around erratically after I put in the new cell — is something wrong with it?
Nothing is wrong with the cell itself. The fuel gauge IC is still referencing the discharge curve it built from the old, degraded cell, so its coulomb counter produces inaccurate readings against the new cell's chemistry. Run one complete discharge — use the phone until it shuts itself off — then charge to 100% without interruption. After that full cycle the fuel gauge re-maps its curve to the new cell and percentage readings stabilise.
The Mobiado Lucido gets noticeably warm near the battery compartment for the first few charges after replacement — should I be concerned?
A new cell typically has slightly higher internal impedance than a fully conditioned one, which means the charge IC dissipates more heat during the first few CC/CV charge cycles. That warmth is the charge IC working harder against higher impedance, not a fault in the cell. It settles after three to five full cycles as impedance drops with conditioning. If the phone stays hot well past the first five cycles, check that the charge voltage is not exceeding 4.2V, which you can confirm with a USB power meter on the input side.
Fast charging stopped working on my Mobiado Lucido after I installed this replacement battery — it only charges slowly now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, some charge ICs default to standard CC/CV charging rather than any higher-current protocol until they complete one full charge and confirm BMS communication is stable. Let the phone complete one full slow charge to 100%, then unplug and reconnect. If fast charge still does not engage after that, check that the charger output reads at least 5V/1A at the cable end — a marginal adapter is often what prevents the charge IC from stepping up to a higher current profile.
