Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Nokia 6 / 6 Dual SIM — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HE316 / HE335)
This 3.85V, 3000mAh (11.55Wh) lithium-polymer cell replaces the original HE316 and HE335 batteries in the Nokia 6 and Nokia 6 Dual SIM smartphones. It covers hardware variants TA-1025 and TA-1039, along with six additional regional model numbers sharing the same battery bay and connector. Dimensions are 78.50 × 63.95 × 3.50mm — fitting the original bay without modification.
- TA-1025 and TA-1039 compatibility: These variants run the same 3.85V power rail, use an identical flex connector pinout, and share the same BMS handshake protocol — so one cell covers the full Nokia 6 hardware family without any wiring changes.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full discharge and charge on a Nokia 6 TA-1025 unit. The BMS accepted the cell on first connection, charge IC negotiation completed normally, and the fuel gauge IC tracked state-of-charge across the full cycle without error flags.
- First-cycle fuel gauge calibration: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current fast charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Nokia 6 after a cell swap
This is a voltage cliff, not a calibration error. Li-polymer cells have a steep voltage drop below a certain state-of-charge threshold — when the modem transmits or the display peaks in brightness, current draw spikes and the cell voltage collapses faster than the fuel gauge predicts. The BMS interprets that collapse as undervoltage and cuts the circuit instantly. Running two full discharge-charge cycles at standard current lets the coulomb counter build an accurate capacity model for the new cell, which pushes the cliff point down to a realistic percentage.
Nokia 6 reporting erratic or frozen battery percentage after replacement
The Nokia 6 fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the old cell in its non-volatile memory. When a new cell goes in, the IC is still reading against the old model — so reported percentage drifts, sticks, or jumps. This is not a faulty battery. Drain the phone fully until it shuts itself down, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without removing the cable early. After one complete cycle the IC recalibrates against the new cell and percentage reporting stabilises.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Nokia 6 shuts off instantly at around 25% after I put in this new battery — is it defective?
The cell is not defective. This is a voltage cliff — under modem or display load, the new cell's voltage drops sharply at that state-of-charge point, and the BMS cuts power before the fuel gauge can catch up. The fix is two full discharge-charge cycles at standard (non-fast) current so the coulomb counter builds an accurate capacity curve for the new cell. After those cycles, the shutdown threshold drops to a realistic level near 0%.
USB fast charging stopped working on the Nokia 6 after I swapped the battery — it only slow-charges now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the Nokia 6 charge IC sometimes does not complete the USB-PD handshake with a new BMS on the replacement cell. This is normal — the IC defaults to standard current until it confirms the cell is safe to push higher current into. Charge the phone once to 100% at standard speed, then disconnect and reconnect the charger. The fast-charge handshake typically completes from the second cycle onward.
The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat unused in storage for a few months — is the cell dead?
A lithium-polymer cell stored below 2.5V trips the BMS into lockout mode to prevent damage from deep discharge. Connect the phone to its original charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold first. Once the cell reaches approximately 3.0V the BMS releases and the phone will power on normally.
