Fits Oppo A9, A9x, and PCEM00 models; replaces OEM battery part number BLP709.
3.85V, 3900mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full processor, display, and modem power draw capacity.
Connector attaches flat to the motherboard socket with no locking tab; orientation marked on housing.
We bench-tested against a worn OEM pack; the BMS accepted 5V/2A input and held stable discharge curve without early cutoff.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Oppo A9 / A9x Series — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BLP709)

This is a 3.85V, 3900mAh Li-Polymer replacement cell for the Oppo A9, A9x, PCEM00, and 1911 smartphones. It replaces OEM part number BLP709 directly. The cell restores power to the processor, display stack, and LTE modem when the original has degraded past usable capacity.

  • A9 and A9x shared platform: The A9 and A9x run the same BLP709 connector pinout and BMS handshake protocol. Both models draw from the same voltage rail, so one cell covers both variants without adapter changes.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the Oppo charge IC and confirmed the BMS negotiates correctly with the VOOC charge controller. Cutoff voltages held at the expected 4.35V upper limit and 3.0V lower limit under screen-on load.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before VOOC pushes high current into an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BLP709 replacement cell

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still mapped to the old cell's discharge curve. The OS reads 25% remaining, but the new cell's actual voltage under modem and display load drops below the hardware cutoff threshold before the gauge catches up. The phone shuts down to protect the cell, not because capacity is low. One full discharge-charge cycle without fast charging forces the coulomb counter to remap to the new cell, and the shutdowns stop.

VOOC fast charge not activating after cell replacement

On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the Oppo charge IC may not negotiate VOOC protocol with the new BMS. The phone charges slowly even on a VOOC-rated adapter. This is a BMS initialisation state, not a fault in the cell or the charger. Complete one standard-speed charge cycle first — VOOC handshake typically activates correctly from the second cycle onward. If it does not, verify the connector is fully seated and check for bent pins on the battery flex connector.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Oppo A9 keeps shutting off at around 25% after fitting the new BLP709 — why won't it run down to zero?

The fuel gauge IC in the A9 is still using the discharge curve it mapped to your old, degraded cell. When the new cell's voltage drops sharply under screen or modem load, the hardware cutoff triggers before the OS gauge catches up, and the phone shuts down. This is a calibration mismatch, not a fault in the replacement cell. Run one full discharge to 0% followed by a full charge to 100% with fast charging disabled — the coulomb counter will remap to the new cell and the early shutdowns will stop.

The battery percentage on my A9 is jumping around after the swap — it went from 60% to 45% in two minutes without me doing anything

The fuel gauge IC recalibrates itself against the new cell's impedance and discharge profile over the first few cycles. Erratic percentage readings are the coulomb counter correcting its running estimate in real time. The jumps narrow significantly after one complete discharge-charge cycle. Keep fast charging off for that first cycle so the charge IC feeds current at a steady rate the gauge can track accurately.

The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few weeks — is the cell dead?

A Li-Polymer cell that self-discharges below approximately 2.5V will trigger BMS lockout to prevent cell damage — the BMS disconnects the cell and the phone shows no response at all. Connect the phone to a standard 5V charger, not a fast charger, and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS reconnect threshold, typically around 2.8–3.0V, at which point the BMS re-initialises and the phone powers on normally.
