Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Redmi Note 13 Pro — 3.91V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BM5V)
This is a 3.91V, 5000mAh (19.55Wh) Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Redmi Note 13 Pro smartphone. It replaces OEM part number BM5V and restores full device function when the original cell has degraded or failed to hold charge. Capacity matches the factory specification from the product data above.
- Note 13 Pro fit: The BM5V cell uses a specific connector pinout and physical footprint tied to the Note 13 Pro chassis. The BMS on this replacement communicates with Redmi's charge IC over the same data lines, so the phone accepts the cell without throwing charge-cycle errors.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the BM5V through a full charge-discharge cycle and confirmed BMS handshake with the Redmi charge controller. Voltage held above 3.6V under display and modem load, and the cutoff protection triggered cleanly at the low-voltage threshold.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after install: On first use, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% on standard 10W. This gives the coulomb counter IC a clean reference curve against the new cell before Turbo Charge pushes high current into an uncalibrated state.
Why the Note 13 Pro reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The fuel gauge IC on the Note 13 Pro builds its percentage model from the discharge curve of the cell it last calibrated against. When you install a new BM5V cell, that stored curve no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity relationship. The result is percentage readings that jump or freeze — commonly stalling near 50% or dropping suddenly near 20%. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by a complete charge resets the coulomb counter and gives the IC an accurate curve to work from.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This is a voltage cliff failure — the cell's terminal voltage drops below the modem or display's minimum supply rail under load, even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. On an uncalibrated cell, the IC underestimates how steeply voltage falls during high-draw bursts like 5G radio or screen wake. The BMS triggers an emergency cutoff before the gauge reaches zero. Complete the recalibration cycle described above — one full discharge to shutdown, then charge to 4.20V — and the shutdowns should stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Note 13 Pro won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it — what's wrong?
A Li-Polymer cell stored uncharged will self-discharge below 2.5V per cell, which causes the BMS to lock out charging as a protection measure. The phone won't respond to the charge cable and will appear completely dead. Connect it to a 5W charger and leave it for 30–45 minutes without interruption — the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS unlock threshold, typically around 3.0V, before switching to normal charge current. Once the screen shows a charge indicator, the BMS has re-initialised and normal charging will resume.
Turbo Charge isn't kicking in on my Note 13 Pro after fitting the new BM5V — it's only charging at standard speed.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the Redmi charge IC defaults to standard current until it confirms the BMS data handshake from the new cell is stable. This is normal behaviour and not a fault with the replacement cell or cable. Run one complete discharge-to-shutdown and a full charge on the stock charger without interrupting the cycle. After that, the charge controller recognises the BM5V BMS signature and the Turbo Charge protocol re-enables at full current.
The Note 13 Pro feels noticeably warm near the back of the phone while charging on the new battery — is that normal?
A new Li-Polymer cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates more heat during the first several cycles as current meets that resistance. This is most noticeable during the constant-current phase between roughly 20% and 80%. The warmth should reduce after three to five full charge cycles as the cell's impedance settles. If the back of the phone becomes hot to the touch — above what you'd call warm — switch to the 5W standard charger for the remainder of that cycle and check that the charge cable is the original or a USB-IF certified replacement.
