Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (EB-BG800BBE)
This is a 3.8V, 1900mAh Li-ion battery for the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini. It fits SM-G800F, SM-G800Y, SM-G800H, and related variants using the EB-BG800BBE specification. It replaces the original cell when charge no longer holds or the phone shuts down unexpectedly.
- SM-G800 series fit: The SM-G800F, SM-G800Y, and SM-G800H all share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers the full range without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell in an SM-G800F and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell on first boot, reported voltage correctly, and charged through a full cycle without triggering overcurrent cutoff.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutdown followed by a full charge before using fast charging. This gives the fuel gauge IC a complete dataset to map the new cell's discharge curve accurately.
Why the S5 Mini reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The S5 Mini uses a coulomb-counting fuel gauge IC that builds its capacity model from the original cell's charge and discharge history. When a new cell goes in, that learned curve no longer matches the actual cell chemistry. The IC keeps using its old reference, so the percentage shown drifts from the real state of charge. One full discharge-to-shutdown and full recharge resets the reference and brings the reported percentage back in line.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under load — the modem firing during a call or the display at full brightness pulls enough current to push the cell below the BMS cutoff threshold even though the gauge still shows charge remaining. A fresh Li-ion cell has a steeper voltage cliff than a partially aged one, which makes this more noticeable in the first week. The fuel gauge IC hasn't yet mapped where that cliff sits on the new cell. After one to two full cycles the IC recalibrates, and the shutdowns stop — verify by checking the logged minimum voltage in a battery stats app, which should read above 3.4V at cutoff once calibrated.

Frequently Asked Questions
My S5 Mini shows 25% battery and just cuts off without warning — is the replacement cell faulty?
It is not faulty. A new Li-ion cell has a sharp voltage drop-off under high current loads — the modem or display pulls the cell below the BMS cutoff voltage before the fuel gauge catches up. The gauge IC was calibrated to the old cell's curve and doesn't yet know where the new cell's cliff sits. Run two full discharge-to-shutdown and full charge cycles and the shutdowns will stop — confirm by checking that logged cutoff voltage stays above 3.4V.
Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after fitting the replacement battery — what happened?
On the first connection after a cell swap, the charge IC on the S5 Mini runs a brief trickle-charge phase to verify cell impedance before it allows high-current charging. If the session was interrupted or the phone restarted mid-charge, the handshake resets. Plug in using the original Samsung charger, leave the screen off, and allow at least 15 minutes without unplugging — the IC will complete its initialisation and switch to fast charge mode automatically.
The battery percentage is jumping around erratically — it jumped from 60% to 41% in two minutes without heavy use.
This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against the new cell. The S5 Mini's coulomb counter learned the discharge profile of the original cell over hundreds of cycles; that data doesn't match the new cell's actual charge curve, so the reported percentage jumps as the IC corrects itself in real time. Let the phone run through one uninterrupted full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that cycle the jumps should stop and the gauge should track within 3–5% of actual state of charge.
