Fits Vivo NEX, Nex Dual Display, and V1821 smartphones; replaces original B-F6 battery.
3.85V nominal, 3400mAh capacity delivers standard daily runtime for display and modem draws.
Connector seats flat into the battery slot with locking tab on the left side.
We ran discharge cycles at constant 500mA load; BMS held voltage stable until final 5%.
On first charge cycle, disable fast charging in settings — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate to the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vivo NEX Series — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-F6)

This is a 3400mAh, 3.85V Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Vivo NEX, NEX Dual Display, and V1821 smartphones. It replaces the original B-F6 cell when the installed battery no longer holds adequate charge. Dimensions are 77.30 × 64.68 × 3.86mm — verify clearance before ordering if your unit has any aftermarket modifications.

  • NEX, NEX Dual Display, and V1821 compatibility: All three models share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol, which is why a single B-F6 cell covers the full range. The fuel gauge IC on each variant communicates over the same interface, so no firmware conflict occurs during cell recognition.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the B-F6 cell through charge and discharge cycles on the NEX platform, monitoring BMS handshake, charge acceptance, and cutoff behaviour. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags and terminated charge correctly at full voltage.
  • First-cycle fast-charge tip: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and complete one full discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current fast charging applies load to an uncalibrated cell.

Why the Vivo NEX reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The fuel gauge IC on the NEX builds its percentage model from accumulated charge and discharge data tied to the original cell's impedance profile. When a new cell goes in, the IC still references that old model, so it miscalculates state-of-charge from the first boot. The result is a percentage readout that jumps, stalls, or reads high until the IC collects fresh data. One complete discharge to around 3.2V followed by a full charge at standard rate resets the coulomb counter and brings the readout back into alignment.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This is a voltage-cliff failure, not a capacity problem. Under high-draw conditions — active modem, screen at full brightness, or background sync — the cell voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC predicts, crossing the BMS cutoff threshold while the display still shows charge remaining. The IC's stored discharge curve doesn't match the new cell yet, so it doesn't anticipate the drop. Complete two full standard-rate charge cycles and the fuel gauge recalibrates; shutdowns at false percentages typically stop once the IC has accurate voltage-to-capacity mapping for the new cell.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Vivo NEX won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?

The BMS locks out the cell when voltage drops below roughly 2.5V during storage, cutting all output to prevent damage. Plug in the original charger and leave it connected for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold. Once voltage clears that floor, the BMS releases the lockout and the phone will boot normally.

Fast charging stopped working after I installed this battery — the phone only charges slowly now.

Vivo's proprietary fast-charge protocol requires a successful BMS handshake before the charge IC allows high-current delivery. On the first cycle after a cell swap, the handshake sometimes doesn't complete, and the charger falls back to standard 5V charging as a safety default. Complete one full standard-rate charge cycle, then reconnect the original Vivo fast charger — the BMS re-negotiates the protocol on the second cycle and high-current charging resumes. If it still doesn't trigger, confirm you're using the original Vivo adapter, not a third-party USB-C charger.

The battery percentage on my NEX jumps around erratically — it dropped from 60% to 15% in minutes.

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating its coulomb counter against the new cell and is currently using the old cell's impedance model, which no longer matches. Erratic jumps are the readout catching up each time the IC samples actual cell voltage versus its outdated curve. Run two complete discharge-charge cycles at standard rate — discharge until the phone shuts off automatically, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After the second cycle, the IC's model stabilises and the percentage readout tracks accurately.
