Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

WINNER WG7 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 3.7V, 900mAh Li-ion cell for the WINNER WG7 smartphone. It slots in where the original battery sits and restores power to the device. Dimensions are 46.47 × 39.79 × 5.33mm — measure your original before ordering if unsure.
- WG7 platform fit: The WG7 runs a single-cell 3.7V nominal rail. This cell matches that voltage requirement and uses the same connector pinout as the factory unit, so the phone's charge IC sees a valid cell from the first boot.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS held cutoff correctly at both ends — no overcharge trip, no premature low-voltage lockout at the floor.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging if the option is available, then run one complete discharge-charge cycle. This gives the fuel gauge IC a clean reference against the new cell's discharge curve before the charge IC pushes higher current into an uncalibrated cell.
Why the WG7 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The WG7's fuel gauge IC learns the discharge curve of whichever cell is installed. When you swap to a new cell, that learned curve no longer matches reality. The IC may read 40% and report 70%, or the reverse. One full discharge-charge cycle — down to automatic shutdown, then a full charge — gives the coulomb counter enough data to rebuild an accurate state-of-charge map. Until that cycle completes, percentage readings will be approximate.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% remaining on the replacement cell
A fresh Li-ion cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. When the WG7 pulls a burst of current — modem transmit, screen at full brightness, background sync — voltage sags sharply. If it sags below the BMS cutoff threshold, the phone shuts off even though the reported percentage still looks healthy. This is a voltage cliff caused by impedance, not a faulty cell. It typically resolves after 3–5 full charge cycles as the cell's impedance settles. If shutdowns persist past cycle 5, check that the battery connector is fully seated — a partial connection raises effective resistance further.

Frequently Asked Questions
The WG7 won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?
Almost certainly not dead — it's a BMS lockout from deep discharge. Li-ion cells that drop below roughly 2.5V trigger a protection circuit that blocks normal power-on to prevent cell damage. Plug the phone into a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on; the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold. If the screen remains blank past 45 minutes on charge, try a different cable and adapter to rule out a current delivery issue.
The WG7 gets noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges — is something wrong?
This is expected behaviour with a new high-impedance cell. A fresh Li-ion cell has higher internal resistance than one that has been cycled, so the charge IC dissipates more energy as heat during the first several charge sessions. Warmth — not heat you cannot hold your hand against — is normal. Run two or three full charge cycles in open air rather than in a case. If the phone becomes too hot to hold during charging after cycle 3, check that the charge port is clean and that you are not using a charge adapter rated above the phone's spec.
Battery percentage on the WG7 jumps around erratically — goes from 55% to 70% without charging
The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve and does not yet have enough data to report accurately. The coulomb counter tracks charge flow in and out, but it anchors its calculations to full-charge and full-discharge endpoints it has not yet seen on this cell. Run the WG7 down to automatic shutdown, then charge it to 100% without interruption. After that single complete cycle, percentage readings should stabilise to within a few percent of actual state of charge.
