Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11E Series — 3.87V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BN5H)
This is a 3.87V, 4900mAh (18.96Wh) Li-Polymer cell carrying OEM part number BN5H. It fits the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11E and Redmi Note 11E 5G. The battery restores full capacity to phones where the original cell has degraded past the point of useful daily operation.
- Redmi Note 11E and 11E 5G compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, 3.87V nominal rail, and BN5H connector pinout. The BMS handshake protocol is identical across the LTE and 5G variants, so one cell covers both without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the BN5H cell through full charge and discharge cycles on a Redmi Note 11E unit. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, thermal cutoff held within normal range, and charge current stepped through the expected CC/CV phases cleanly.
- First-cycle fast-charge handling: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and complete one full discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current fast charging pushes elevated current into an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement BN5H cell
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity defect. Under peak load — active 5G modem, screen at full brightness, or a CPU-heavy task — the cell voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC predicted. The system interprets this as a critically low cell voltage and shuts down to protect the battery. It happens most often in the first few cycles because the coulomb counter is still calibrated to the old cell's internal resistance profile. Run two or three complete discharge-charge cycles and the fuel gauge recalibrates its voltage-to-percentage mapping against the new cell.
Phone not powering on after the BN5H sat in storage below 2.5V
Li-Polymer cells that discharge below roughly 2.5V per cell trigger a BMS lockout to prevent thermal runaway during recovery charging. A phone that will not respond to the charger or power button after a long storage period is almost certainly in this state. Connect the phone to a wall adapter — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC applies a low-current trickle recovery voltage to bring the cell above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 2.8V, before normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Redmi Note 11E shows the wrong battery percentage after fitting the BN5H — it jumped from 40% to 15% in minutes. What's happening?
The fuel gauge IC inside the phone is still running the discharge curve it learned from the old, degraded cell. When a new high-capacity cell is installed, the coulomb counter's internal model no longer matches actual cell voltage behaviour, so percentage readings drift or drop suddenly. Run the phone from 100% down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption — do this twice. After two full cycles the fuel gauge recalibrates its model to the BN5H cell and percentage readings stabilise.
Fast charging stopped working on the Redmi Note 11E after I put in the new battery. The phone just charges slowly now.
Xiaomi's proprietary fast-charge protocol negotiates with the BMS before allowing elevated current. On the first cycle with a new cell, the BMS sometimes returns a conservative response to the charge IC while it confirms cell impedance is within safe limits. Plug into the original Xiaomi wall adapter — third-party chargers often fail the protocol handshake entirely. If fast charging does not resume after one complete standard-rate charge cycle, check that the USB cable is the original or a certified replacement, as a high-resistance cable drops the voltage signal the charge IC uses to authorise fast-charge mode.
The Redmi Note 11E gets noticeably warm near the back panel while charging with the new BN5H cell. Is that normal?
A new Li-Polymer cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a cell that has been through several hundred cycles. Higher impedance means more energy is lost as heat during the charge IC's constant-current phase, especially in the first few charge cycles. Surface warmth — not hot enough to be uncomfortable to touch — is expected and reduces as the cell conditions over the first five to ten cycles. If the phone becomes too hot to hold or the charge IC throttles current repeatedly, check that no case or cover is trapping heat against the back panel during charging, and charge on a flat, open surface.
