This 7.72V, 6400mAh (49.41Wh) Li-Polymer cell replaces the original L19L4P70 battery in the ThinkPad X1 Fold Gen 1 series. It fits the 20RL000HPG, 20RL0015IV, 20RL000YBM, 20RL001LYA, and 123 additional X1 Fold Gen 1 variants. Same voltage, same connector, same BMS handshake as the factory cell.
- X1 Fold Gen 1 platform fit: Every 20RL-series model shares the same battery bay geometry, 7.72V rail, and L19-series BMS protocol. That common architecture means one cell covers the full production run without adapter or firmware workarounds.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on a ThinkPad X1 Fold Gen 1 unit and confirmed the BMS handshake completed on first boot — Windows reported full Wh capacity within two charge cycles, and thermal cutoff thresholds matched factory spec.

Recalibrate by running the full discharge-to-hibernate cycle once, which forces the fuel gauge IC to map the new cell's actual voltage curve. The X1 Fold won't charge above 80% after the battery swap — is the replacement cell defective?
This is a BIOS-controlled charge threshold, not a cell fault. Lenovo's power management firmware on the ThinkPad X1 Fold includes a Conservation Mode setting that caps charging at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress. Check Lenovo Vantage under Power → Battery Settings and confirm Conservation Mode is switched off. Once disabled, the cell will charge to 100%.
