Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Machenike M710C-i7 — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 14.8V, 5200mAh (76.96Wh) Li-ion battery for the Machenike M710C-i7 gaming laptop. It fits directly into the original battery bay and connects to the system board via the factory connector. Capacity and voltage match the original cell specification.

  • M710C-i7 platform fit: The M710C-i7 runs a 14.8V four-cell Li-ion bus. The connector pinout, BMS communication line, and physical tray dimensions are fixed to this voltage rail — swapping to a different voltage family trips the charge controller. This cell stays within that envelope.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran a full charge-discharge cycle and monitored BMS handshake on the SMBus line. The protection circuit engaged correctly at low-voltage cutoff, and charge termination fired at the expected 16.8V ceiling with no trickle anomalies.
  • Post-install calibration on the M710C-i7: After fitting, run the laptop on battery until it hits hibernate-cutoff — do not interrupt it. Then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.

BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell

The M710C-i7 BIOS reads health data stored in the battery's EEPROM, not from live cell voltage. When a new cell arrives, that EEPROM holds either default or mismatched data from the manufacturing flash. The BIOS compares it against the laptop's stored baseline and flags a mismatch as degraded health. One full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% rewrites the learn-cycle baseline and clears the warning.

Laptop shuts down abruptly at 20–30% charge shown on screen

This is a voltage-cliff failure — under combined CPU and display load the cell voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC can track, and the system hits the low-voltage cutoff before the percentage reading catches up. It typically surfaces during GPU-heavy sessions where current draw spikes sharply. The fuel gauge IC needs two to three full calibration cycles against the new cell before its discharge curve model becomes accurate. Run the laptop through complete discharge-to-hibernate cycles without interruption until the percentage readout and actual shutdown align.

Frequently Asked Questions

My M710C-i7 shows the new battery as "0% — plugged in, charging" and it never moves. What's happening?

The fuel gauge IC on the M710C-i7 loses calibration when the cell is swapped and can lock its readout at 0% until it completes a reference cycle. Let the laptop charge uninterrupted to 100%, then discharge fully to hibernate-cutoff without plugging in. Repeat this once more. After two complete cycles the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell's discharge curve and the percentage tracking stabilises.

System info shows this battery as 47Wh but the spec is 76.96Wh — is the cell wrong?

The Wh figure in system info is pulled from the battery's EEPROM, which may hold a factory default value that doesn't match the physical cell. The actual cell capacity is 76.96Wh as rated. After completing a BIOS battery learn cycle — one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then a full uninterrupted charge — the system recalculates the Wh value against live charge data and the reported figure corrects itself.

Charging stops at 80% and the M710C-i7 won't charge any further. Is the cell defective?

Most Machenike laptops ship with a BIOS-level battery charge limit active by default — it caps charge at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress during AC use. This is a firmware setting, not a fault with the replacement cell. Open the Machenike control software or check BIOS power settings and disable the charge limit. Once turned off, a fresh charge cycle will reach 100%.
