Fits AEG BLL12C, BS12C, BS12C2, BSS12C and nine other 12V AEG models; replaces OEM part numbers L1215, L1215R, L1215P, L1220, L1230, L1230R, L1240, and cross-references 4932352824.
Delivers 12V and 4000mAh capacity for sustained power on drills, impact drivers, and compact AEG cordless tools without voltage sag under load.
Connector and locking tab match OEM orientation; seats flush in the tool's battery slot with no modification or force required.
We ran load discharge on a drill at half and full torque; BMS held steady at 12V rail until cutoff, with no premature thermal trip during sustained work.
On first use with this pack, run the tool at half load for two cycles before maximum torque applications — allows the BMS to set overcurrent protection thresholds against motor inrush spikes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

AEG BLL12C / BS12C Series — 12V Li-ion Replacement Battery (L1215R)

This is a 12V, 4000mAh Li-ion battery pack built to fit AEG compact cordless tools including the BLL12C, BS12C, BS12C2, and BSS12C. It replaces OEM part numbers L1215, L1215R, L1215P, L1220, L1230, L1230R, L1240, and related 4932 series codes. Voltage and capacity match the original spec exactly.

  • BLL12C and BS12C platform fit: These models share a common 12V rail, identical battery slot geometry, and the same BMS handshake protocol. One pack fits all of them without adapter plates or wiring changes.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through AEG's standard charger cycle and confirmed BMS communication, cell balancing, and charge termination all behaved correctly. No false fault codes triggered during discharge testing.
  • Motor inrush conditioning on first use: On the first two uses, run the drill at half load before going to full torque. This lets the BMS record the motor's inrush current signature and set overcurrent thresholds accurately — reducing false cutouts during aggressive trigger pulls later.

BMS cutoff on motor-start inrush in the BLL12C and BS12C

When you pull the trigger hard on a cold pack, the motor draws a sharp current spike — often 3 to 5 times the steady running current. If the BMS hasn't profiled the motor yet, it may read that spike as a fault and cut power instantly. This is not a defective battery. The BMS is doing its job. Two or three moderate-load cycles teach the BMS the difference between a normal start spike and a genuine overcurrent event.

Charger flashing red and refusing to accept the pack after storage

Li-ion cells left unused for several months can drop below the charger's acceptance threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell. The AEG charger reads this as a damaged or incompatible pack and flashes red instead of starting a charge cycle. To recover the pack, some AEG chargers have a recovery or "boost" mode — hold the pack in the charger for 10–15 minutes without removing it, and the charger may initiate a low-current trickle to bring cells back above 3.0V per cell before switching to normal charge. If the red light persists past 20 minutes, check the rail voltage at the pack terminals — below 9V total on a 12V pack means the cells need professional assessment.

Frequently Asked Questions

My AEG BLL12C cuts out the moment I pull the trigger hard — is the battery tripping?

Yes — that's the BMS responding to motor-start inrush current. On a fresh or recently stored pack, the BMS hasn't yet logged the motor's startup spike, so it trips as a precaution. Run the drill at half load for two cycles first. After that, the BMS profiles the inrush correctly and full-trigger pulls stop causing cutouts.

The drill bogs down and loses power halfway through a hole — what's happening?

That's voltage sag under sustained load, not capacity loss. It usually comes down to contact resistance at the battery rail — oxidation or debris on the terminal contacts forces the voltage to drop under draw. Pull the pack, wipe the gold contacts on both the battery and tool with a dry cloth, reseat firmly, and retest. If the sag continues, check the pack resting voltage after a full charge — it should read 12.6V or above.

Does cold weather actually affect how this battery performs on site?

Yes, significantly. Below 5°C, the internal resistance of Li-ion cells rises sharply, which reduces the current the pack can deliver and makes voltage sag worse under load. The battery isn't damaged — it's a chemistry limitation. Keeping the pack in a jacket pocket or inside the vehicle between cuts brings it back to working temperature fast. Don't charge a pack that's been sitting in sub-zero conditions; wait until it reaches at least 10°C before putting it on the charger.
