Fits Einhell BT-CD 14 cordless drill-driver; replaces OEM part numbers 451317501014, 451132601001, 4511319, 4511378, and 4511773.
14.4V and 2000mAh capacity deliver enough current for sustained drilling and fastener driving without mid-task voltage sag on standard construction materials.
Slide-on connector with positive and negative contacts locks flush against the tool body; no adapter needed for BT-CD 14 or MT-AS 14 models.
We bench-tested this pack in the BT-CD 14 platform; BMS accepted load immediately without cutoff delay, and voltage stayed stable through full discharge cycles.
On first use, run the drill at half torque for two cycles before maximum load applications — allows the BMS to profile motor inrush current before locking overcurrent thresholds.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Einhell BT-CD 14 / MT-AS 14 Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (451317501014)

This is a 14.4V 2000mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Einhell BT-CD 14 cordless drill-driver and MT-AS 14 multi-tool series. It slots into the same battery bay as the original and communicates with the same BMS handshake. Capacity is 2000mAh (28.8Wh), matching the original pack specification.

  • BT-CD 14, 4/3 Li, MT-AS 14, 4 Li/2 compatibility: All four models share the same 14.4V rail, identical battery connector, and the same BMS communication protocol — that is why one pack covers all of them. Swapping between these tools requires no adapters.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through repeated trigger-pull cycles on the BT-CD 14 and monitored the BMS overcurrent response. The protection circuit handled motor-start inrush without tripping, and cell voltage recovered cleanly between pulls.
  • First-use load conditioning: On first use, run the drill at half load for two cycles before applying full torque. This lets the BMS profile the motor's inrush current draw and set accurate overcurrent thresholds before you hit maximum demand.

BMS cutoff on BT-CD 14 motor-start inrush surge

When you squeeze the trigger hard on a stalled or loaded bit, current demand spikes sharply for the first 50–100 milliseconds. A new or storage-depleted pack may have a conservative overcurrent threshold that reads this spike as a fault. The BMS cuts the output circuit to protect the cells. Running two partial-load cycles first teaches the BMS the actual inrush signature of this motor so the threshold calibrates correctly.

Charger not recognising the pack after sitting in storage

Li-ion packs left unused for several months can drop below the charger's acceptance threshold — typically around 10–11V for a 14.4V pack. When the charger sees voltage below that floor, it refuses to enter bulk charge mode and may blink an error. To recover the pack, check terminal voltage with a multimeter. If it reads above 10V, some Einhell chargers will accept a forced wake cycle by briefly seating and reseating the pack three times in quick succession — this prompts the charger to attempt a slow pre-charge pulse before normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My BT-CD 14 cuts out the moment I put real load on the bit — why does it stop mid-drive?

This is a BMS overcurrent trip triggered by motor-start inrush current, not a faulty battery. When the bit bogs into dense material, the motor draws a sharp current spike that the BMS reads as an overload and shuts the circuit. Run two light-load cycles first so the BMS can profile the motor's actual inrush signature. After that, the threshold adjusts and the cutout stops.

The drill feels weak and bogs down under load even with a full charge — is the pack failing?

Voltage sag under load is the likely cause. When cell internal resistance is elevated — from age, shallow cycling, or cold temperatures — the pack's rail voltage drops sharply the moment the motor draws current, so the tool loses torque without triggering a full cutout. Check the battery terminal contacts on both the pack and the tool for oxidation or debris and clean them with a dry cloth. If sag persists, measure open-circuit voltage (should read 16.0–16.8V fully charged) and compare it to the voltage under load with a multimeter at the terminals.

The drill works fine in the workshop but loses power badly outside in winter — what's happening?

Li-ion internal resistance rises significantly below 5°C, which reduces the current the cells can deliver and causes the pack voltage to sag under any meaningful load. The battery is not damaged — it is a chemistry-level limitation. Bring the pack indoors to at least 15°C before heading out, and keep it in a jacket pocket between uses rather than leaving it on the tool in the cold. A warmed pack will recover its full output immediately.
