Fits Geberit ACO 202, 203, 203plus, 203XL cordless drill platforms; replaces OEM 18V packs across the ACO series lineup.
18V 6000mAh Li-ion delivers 108Wh total capacity; maintains voltage under sustained drill load and compound driver applications.
Battery slides into slot with forward-facing contacts and positive-ground locking tab; connector orientation matches all ACO chargers without adapter.
We bench-tested against ACO 203 motor-start inrush at full trigger pull; BMS held steady with no early cutoff at peak amperage draw.
On first use with the ACO 202, run the drill at half load for two cycles before driving fasteners at full torque—allows the BMS to calibrate motor inrush thresholds.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Geberit ACO 202 / 203 Series — 18V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is an 18V 6000mAh (108Wh) lithium-ion replacement battery for the Geberit ACO 202, 203, 203plus, and 203XL cordless tool line. These tools are used in plumbing and sanitary installation work where sustained torque and repeated trigger cycles are the norm. The 6000mAh capacity sits at the high end of this voltage class, giving the pack headroom under heavy draw.

  • ACO 202 / 203 platform fit: These models share the same 18V battery rail, connector footprint, and BMS handshake protocol. A battery built for one slot drops straight into the others without adapter or firmware conflict.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the pack through motor-start inrush cycles on the ACO platform. The BMS handled repeated high-current trigger pulls without nuisance tripping, and cell temperature stayed within safe limits across sustained load cycles.
  • First-cycle load conditioning: On first use, run the tool at half load for two cycles before full torque applications. This lets the BMS profile the motor's inrush current draw and set accurate overcurrent thresholds before you push it into hard fastening or cutting work.

BMS cutoff on motor-start inrush surge in the ACO 203 series

When a cordless tool motor starts under load, current draw spikes sharply before the motor reaches speed. On the ACO 203 and 203plus, this inrush spike can exceed the BMS overcurrent threshold if the pack has been sitting unused or is partially discharged. The BMS interprets the spike as a fault and cuts output to protect the cells. Bringing the pack to a full charge before high-torque use lowers internal resistance and reduces the magnitude of that inrush spike.

Tool bogs under sustained load but recovers after a pause

This symptom points to voltage sag — the pack's terminal voltage drops under heavy current draw, the tool's controller detects undervoltage, and it reduces power output. After a pause, the cells recover and voltage climbs back. The most common cause on used packs is increased internal resistance at the cell-to-contact interface or within aged cells themselves. Clean the battery rail contacts on the tool with isopropyl alcohol and check that the contact springs seat firmly — poor contact adds resistance that amplifies sag.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Geberit ACO 203 cuts out the instant I pull the trigger under load — is this the battery or the tool?

That's a BMS overcurrent trip, not a tool fault. The motor-start inrush current spike hits the BMS threshold before the motor reaches speed, and the pack shuts output to protect the cells. It happens most often when the pack is below 50% charge, because lower state-of-charge means higher internal resistance and a sharper voltage collapse on inrush. Fully charge the pack first — if the cutout stops, the BMS was reading a real overcurrent condition, not a fault.

The charger blinks red and won't accept this new pack — it's never been used, still in the box.

A pack that has been in storage for several months can drop below the charger's acceptance voltage threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell. Most chargers for 18V Li-ion packs won't start a charge cycle if they detect a cell below that floor. Leave the pack connected to the charger for 10–15 minutes without interruption; some charger firmware includes a trickle pre-charge mode that will slowly bring cells up to acceptance voltage before switching to full charge. If the charger still rejects the pack after 20 minutes, check the terminal voltage at the pack contacts — it should read above 15V for the charger to recognise the pack.

The ACO tool runs noticeably weaker in cold weather even with a fully charged battery — normal?

Yes, and it's a lithium-ion characteristic, not a defect. Below 5°C, internal resistance in Li-ion cells rises sharply, which increases voltage sag under load and reduces the current the pack can deliver. The tool's controller sees the sagging voltage and backs off power output to stay within safe limits. Warm the battery to room temperature before use — even 15 minutes indoors before heading back outside will bring cell resistance down and restore normal output.
