Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Kraftwerk 32002 LED-Akku-Handlampe — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 7.4V 2200mAh (16.28Wh) Li-ion battery is a direct replacement for the Kraftwerk 32002 LED-Akku-Handlampe rechargeable work light. It slots into the original battery compartment and draws from the same two-cell pack configuration as the factory unit. Capacity is rated at 2200mAh — identical to the original specification.
- Kraftwerk 32002 platform fit: The 32002 runs a 7.4V two-cell Li-ion rail with a compact form factor — 65.53 × 36.48 × 18.15mm. The BMS on this pack monitors cell voltage balance and discharge cutoff at approximately 6.0V to protect the cells from over-discharge during extended illumination sessions.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the bench. The BMS held cutoff voltage within spec and balanced both cells within 20mV at full charge. No thermal events occurred across repeated charge cycles.
- Light storage precaution: If the lamp sits unused for more than four weeks, charge the battery before storing it — not after. A fully depleted Li-ion pack left in storage can drop below the charger's acceptance threshold, which prevents a normal charge cycle from initiating.
Why the 32002 charger blinks red and refuses a new pack after storage
Li-ion chargers use a minimum acceptance voltage — typically around 2.5V per cell, or 5.0V for a two-cell 7.4V pack. If the pack has self-discharged below that threshold during storage, the charger's protection circuit flags it as a fault and will not enter normal CC/CV charging. This is a charger-side safety feature, not a faulty battery. To recover the pack, some chargers support a trickle or recovery mode — check the 32002 charger manual for a "recovery" or "soft-start" setting. If that option is absent, a short 15–30 minute boost at a low rate from a compatible Li-ion charger can bring the cell voltage back above 5.0V and allow the original charger to accept it.
Work light dims noticeably mid-use even on a freshly charged pack
A dimming LED output under load usually points to voltage sag caused by rising internal resistance in the cells. As Li-ion cells age or are repeatedly shallow-cycled, internal resistance climbs — the pack can measure 8.3V off-load but sag below 7.0V the moment the LED driver draws current. Check the battery contacts on both the pack and the lamp body for corrosion or debris, as poor contact resistance amplifies sag. If contacts are clean, the issue is cell degradation — replace the pack and verify the new pack holds above 7.2V under the LED load.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Kraftwerk 32002 work light cuts out after a few seconds of use, even with a charged battery — what's causing it?
The BMS is tripping on an overcurrent or low-voltage event during discharge. Check that the battery contacts are clean and making firm contact — increased contact resistance raises the apparent draw and can trigger the protection circuit. If contacts are fine, the cells may have degraded enough that voltage sags below the BMS cutoff threshold under real load. Swap in a replacement pack and confirm the voltage holds above 7.0V during normal lamp operation.
The work light runs noticeably cooler and dimmer in cold weather — is the battery failing?
Li-ion internal resistance rises sharply below 5°C, which causes the cell voltage to sag harder under load — the LED driver receives less stable voltage and dims as a result. This is a chemistry behaviour, not a fault with the pack. Warm the battery to room temperature before use and the output will recover. If dimming persists above 15°C, internal resistance has increased due to cell wear and the pack needs replacing.
After sitting unused for two months, the 32002 battery won't charge — the charger just blinks and stops.
Self-discharge during storage dropped the pack below the charger's minimum acceptance voltage, around 5.0V for a 7.4V two-cell pack. The charger's protection circuit blocks a normal charge cycle when it reads below that threshold. Check whether the 32002 charger has a recovery or soft-start mode in the manual and activate it. If not, a brief trickle charge from a compatible Li-ion charger until the pack reads above 5.0V will allow the original charger to accept it and complete a full cycle normally.
