Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Braun Series 5 50-B1000s / 50-M1000s — 3.6V Li-ion Replacement Battery (7030924)
This is a 3.6V, 680mAh lithium-ion battery for Braun Series 5 electric shavers. It fits the 50-B1000s, 50-M1200s Easy Clean, 50-W1000s, 50-M1000s, and more than 30 additional models in the same family. If your shaver motor has weakened or the battery no longer holds a charge, this cell restores full function without replacing the unit.
- Series 5 family compatibility: Every model in this group runs the same 3.6V voltage rail with an identical cylindrical UR14500 cell and matching connector. Swapping in this cell requires no adapter or wiring change — the BMS handshake carries over directly.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on a 50-B1000s and monitored BMS behaviour through a full charge-discharge cycle. The protection circuit held at the correct cutoff voltage and the motor reached rated speed without triggering an early shutdown.
- Charging port caution for waterproof models: The 50-W1000s and other waterproof variants in this family are rinsed regularly. Dry the charging port completely before connecting — moisture bridging the charging contacts triggers a BMS protection fault that the shaver reports as a dead battery, not a charging error.
Capacity fade from daily partial charging on the Series 5
Many users charge the shaver on the dock every night before the battery depletes. Li-ion cells in shallow-cycle use accumulate a voltage offset over time — the fuel gauge drifts and starts reading empty while usable capacity remains. The shaver cuts out or the indicator flashes low earlier than expected, not because the cell has failed, but because the BMS reference point has shifted. Running the battery down to BMS cutoff and then charging fully once recalibrates the gauge and restores accurate indicator behaviour.
Motor speed dropping before the low-battery indicator activates
If the motor audibly slows during a shave but the indicator still shows charge remaining, the cell is voltage-sagging under motor load before the BMS cutoff trips. A worn cell loses internal resistance headroom and cannot sustain the current draw the motor demands at full speed. The indicator reads state-of-charge at rest voltage, so it lags behind what the cell can actually deliver under load. Replacing the cell resolves this — the indicator and motor behaviour will align once the new 3.6V cell is fully charged.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Braun Series 5 shaver motor slows down mid-shave but the battery indicator still shows it has charge — what's causing that?
The cell is voltage-sagging under the current the motor draws, even though the resting voltage looks fine to the indicator. A degraded Li-ion cell loses the internal resistance headroom needed to sustain motor load, so speed drops before the BMS triggers a low-battery cutoff. The indicator reads resting voltage between pulses, which makes it lag behind the real delivery capacity. Fitting a new 3.6V cell eliminates the sag — motor speed and indicator will track together again.
After rinsing my 50-W1000s, it won't charge in the dock — is the battery dead or is something else going on?
This is almost always a BMS protection trip caused by moisture bridging the charging contacts, not a failed battery. When water gets into the port, the BMS interprets the contact short as a fault condition and locks out charging. Remove the shaver from the dock, shake any visible water from the port, and leave it to air-dry for at least an hour. Once fully dry, reconnect to the dock — the BMS should reset and charging should resume normally.
The dock contacts on my Braun Series 5 look slightly discoloured and the shaver stopped charging — could that be from cleaning spray?
Yes — alcohol-based or multi-surface cleaning sprays leave a residue that oxidises the brass dock pins over time. The oxidation layer increases contact resistance enough that the charger cannot deliver sufficient current to initiate the charge cycle, which looks identical to a dead battery. Clean both the dock pins and the shaver's charging contacts with a dry cotton swab, then with a swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol. Let both surfaces dry fully before reseating the shaver — if charging resumes, the battery was not at fault.
