I dropped my shaver in the sink and now it won't charge at all — is the battery dead or is it something else?
Most of the time it's a BMS protection trip caused by moisture bridging the charging contacts, not a dead cell. The shaver reports this the same way it reports a failed battery, which makes it easy to misdiagnose. Dry the charging port with a cotton swab and leave the shaver in a warm spot for 24 hours before docking it again. If it still won't charge after that, the cell itself may have been damaged — measure it with a multimeter; a healthy Ni-MH cell at rest reads 1.2–1.3V.
My shaver charges fully but feels noticeably warm during a long shave — is that a battery fault?
