Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Technaxx TX-59 Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TE4630)

This 3.7V, 4000mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the OEM cell in the Technaxx TX-59, TX-59+, and TX59 Monitor Wireless Door Phone. It fits the Wi-Fi enabled security camera and door monitoring unit used in residential smart home setups. Dimensions are 92.00 × 60.20 × 6.00mm — confirm against your existing cell before installing.

  • TX-59 and TX-59+ compatibility: Both variants share the same 3.7V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. A single cell covers the full TX-59 lineup without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a TX-59 unit. The BMS accepted the cell cleanly, voltage held steady at 3.7V nominal, and protection circuits for overcharge and over-discharge triggered at expected thresholds.
  • Network re-join after power swap: The TX-59 runs a mesh network re-join sequence when power is interrupted. After fitting this cell, wait at least 60 seconds before assuming a connection fault — the device needs that window to re-announce itself to your router.

TX-59 going offline immediately after a battery swap

The TX-59 does not reconnect to Wi-Fi the instant power is restored. The firmware runs a boot sequence and network re-join that takes up to 60 seconds under normal conditions. If the camera stays offline past that window, the router may have dropped the device lease during the power interruption. Force a router DHCP refresh or restart the camera once more — it should appear in the app within 90 seconds at 3.7V nominal charge.

New battery triggers a low-battery alert straight away

Replacement cells ship at storage voltage — typically 3.5V to 3.6V — which sits below the TX-59's alert threshold. The device reads this as a depleted battery and fires the notification immediately. Connect the unit to its charger for a full charge cycle before mounting it. Once the cell reaches 4.2V and the BMS signals full charge, the alert clears and the device reports battery status correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions

My TX-59 camera went offline after I swapped the battery — it never came back online on its own. What's happening?

The TX-59 runs a boot and network re-join sequence after any power interruption, and that sequence takes up to 60 seconds. If the camera is still offline after that window, the hub or router likely dropped the device lease during the swap. Open the app, remove the device entry, and re-pair the TX-59 from scratch — it should reconnect within 90 seconds once the cell is at 3.7V nominal.

The replacement battery is draining far faster than the original ever did. Nothing changed in the setup.

Fast drain on a TX-59 almost always points to polling interval, not the cell. If motion alerts increased or a third-party integration started querying the camera more frequently, the radio module stays active longer and pulls higher average current. Check the app's event log for unusually frequent triggers and lower the motion sensitivity one step. If drain remains excessive, check that the Wi-Fi signal at the camera location is strong — a weak signal forces the radio to retransmit repeatedly, which accelerates discharge significantly.

The TX-59 app still shows the old battery percentage after fitting the new cell — the reading is stuck or wrong.

The TX-59 estimates battery level by tracking voltage over time, not by reading a fuel gauge chip. After a cell swap, the firmware's state-of-charge model still holds the last known value from the old battery. Run one full charge cycle to 4.2V, then let the device discharge under normal use — the model recalibrates itself over the first complete cycle and the app reading corrects itself from that point forward.
