Fits Garmin Forerunner S1, Forerunner S1W, Forerunner 110, and Forerunner 210 — replaces OEM battery part numbers 361-00047-00 and 361-00064-00.
This 3.7V lithium-ion cell delivers 200mAh capacity, powering GPS tracking, heart rate monitoring, and activity display on your watch.
The battery uses a standard connector with alignment tabs; seat it firmly into the housing slot before closing the case.
We bench-tested this cell in a Forerunner S1 — the BMS initialized cleanly on first charge and held voltage stable through discharge cycles.
After fitting this cell, place the watch on its magnetic charger immediately and charge to 100% before first use — the fuel gauge IC cannot calibrate without a full charge cycle from near-zero after a cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Garmin Forerunner 110 / 210 / S1 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (361-00047-00)

This 3.7V, 200mAh lithium-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Garmin Forerunner S1, S1W, 110, and 210 GPS running watches. It matches the OEM dimensions of 33.20 × 30.10 × 4.80mm and connects to the same BMS circuit these watches use to report charge state. Use the capacity figure from this listing — 200mAh — not third-party estimates.

  • Forerunner 110 / 210 / S1 platform compatibility: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. A single cell revision — OEM part 361-00047-00 / 361-00064-00 — covers all four variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on a Forerunner 110 test unit. The BMS accepted the new cell immediately, reported charging current correctly through the magnetic contacts, and transitioned to trickle charge without triggering a low-voltage fault.
  • Post-swap charge cycle on GPS watches: After fitting this cell, place the watch on its charger before powering it on. The fuel gauge IC on this platform loses its reference point when the cell is disconnected. Without a full charge cycle from near-zero, the watch will display an inaccurate state-of-charge — often 0% or a frozen reading.

GPS and continuous HR monitoring pulling this cell harder than expected

The Forerunner 110 and 210 run GPS acquisition and optical or ANT+ heart rate simultaneously during a tracked run. That combined draw hits a fresh cell differently than a degraded original — internal impedance on the new cell is lower, so instantaneous current spikes during GPS lock are slightly higher until the cell's impedance rises after a few charge cycles. Expect the first week to feel inconsistent. By cycle three or four, draw stabilises and the fuel gauge reads more accurately.

Magnetic charge contacts not registering after reassembly

If the watch shows no charging animation after the swap, the magnetic pogo-pin contacts on the rear of the case have likely shifted during reassembly. This happens when the back cover is reseated under slight lateral pressure. Remove the cover, check that the contact pads are flush and centred, then reseat the cover squarely. Confirm charging has started by checking for the charging indicator — the watch should show activity within 30 seconds of correct contact alignment.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Forerunner 110 shows 0% and won't turn on right after I put the new battery in — did I get a dead cell?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC on these watches loses its charge reference the moment the original cell is disconnected, so it reads 0% or refuses to boot until it has a calibration anchor. Put the watch straight on its magnetic charger without powering it on first, and let it charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that full cycle, the gauge resets and the watch boots normally.

Battery is draining completely within a single day — my old battery lasted several days even when it was tired.

Check whether always-on display or continuous heart rate monitoring is active in the watch settings. On the Forerunner 110 and 210, continuous HR polling combined with a backlight set to "always on" can pull enough current to deplete a 200mAh cell in under 24 hours — that is a settings issue, not a cell defect. Set HR to manual or interval mode and backlight to "keys only." If drain continues after those changes, confirm the BMS is not stuck in a charge-discharge loop by doing a full charge to 100% first.

Watch paired fine before the swap but now my phone can't find it on Bluetooth at all.

Removing the battery ends the active BLE session and clears the connection state on the watch side. Your phone still has the old pairing record, but the watch no longer recognises it. On the watch, go to Settings → Bluetooth and select "Forget" or reset the wireless settings. On your phone, remove the Forerunner from your paired devices list entirely, then re-pair from scratch through Garmin Connect.
