The new battery is draining in a single day, but the old one used to last several days even when worn out — what's wrong?

Check whether always-on display and continuous heart rate monitoring are both active at the same time. On a 490mAh cell, that combination pulls enough sustained current to exhaust the battery in under a day. Go into the watch settings and set the display to gesture-wake, then set heart rate monitoring to interval mode rather than continuous. That change alone typically brings drain back in line with the expected multi-day use pattern.

The magnetic charger clicks into place but the charging icon never appears on screen after the battery swap — how do I fix this?

The charge contacts on the watch case can shift slightly during reassembly, leaving a small gap between the pogo pins and the charging pad. Remove the watch from the charger, inspect the contact points on the back of the case for debris or misalignment, then re-seat the charger and press lightly until the icon appears.
